These Japanese Car maker has debuted an all-new electric SUV which comes with coupe-roofline, and tons of technologies.

The all-new Toyota C-HR+ is a battery-electric SUV that combines eye-catching coupe-inspired styling with impressive performance. It builds on the success of the Toyota C-HR while introducing a dedicated BEV platform, advanced safety features, and a choice of powerful battery options. Set to launch in selected European markets in late 2025, this SUV could be a game-changer for Toyota’s electric vehicle lineup.

Exterior

The Toyota C-HR+ EV maintains the coupe-SUV profile of the Toyota C-HR but introduces a more dynamic and futuristic design. The front fascia is unique, featuring a distinctive bumper, grille, and sleek LED headlights. Its aerodynamic shape includes sharp character lines and a sloping coupe-like roofline that does not compromise rear headroom. The wide stance and sculpted rear, highlighted by full-LED combination lights and an integrated spoiler, enhance its sporty appeal.

Interior

Inside, the C-HR+ EV offers a premium and spacious cabin. The wheelbase of 2,750 mm provides ample legroom, ensuring a comfortable experience for all passengers. High-quality materials and ambient lighting elevate the cabin’s sophistication. Practicality is enhanced with 416 litres of cargo space, dual wireless smartphone chargers, rear USB ports, a panoramic sunroof, and rear AC controls. A 14-inch multimedia display with EV-specific navigation ensures modern connectivity.

Battery Specifications

Toyota offers two battery options for the C-HR+:

  • 57.7 kWh Battery (FWD) – Produces 164.71 bhp (123 kW)
  • 77 kWh Battery (FWD & AWD) – Produces 220.93 bhp (165 kW) in FWD and 338.30 bhp (252 kW) in AWD
  • Performance – AWD model accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds
  • Range – Up to 600 km (WLTP, pending homologation)
  • Charging – Supports fast DC charging up to 150 kW, 11 kW onboard charger (22 kW for high-grade models)

The SUV features battery pre-conditioning for optimized charging, an energy-saving heat pump for climate control, and heated seats, steering wheel, and windscreen to improve efficiency.

Features and Safety

The Toyota C-HR+ EV is equipped with Toyota T-Mate, which includes advanced safety and driver-assistance technologies. Standard features include Toyota Safety Sense, Blind Spot Monitor, Adaptive High-Beam System, and Parking Support Brake. Higher variants add Park Assist and a Panoramic View Monitor. The SUV’s rigid body structure, improved aerodynamics, and recalibrated steering and suspension ensure a responsive and stable driving experience.

Final Thoughts

While Toyota has not confirmed the C-HR+ EV officially for India, its premium design, long-range capability, and Toyota’s growing focus on EVs make it a strong candidate. With the increasing demand for electric SUVs and Toyota’s success with hybrid models like the Innova Hycross and Hyryder, the C-HR+ EV could be introduced for the Indian market, sometime in future.
