For the Indian market, Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the all-new Alto K10. The new Alto K10, which starts at Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory), has little similarities to its smaller 800 sister because it is now built on Maruti’s widely used Heartect platform. The K10 is more spacious than the Alto 800 and costs about the same as Maruti’s own S-Presso.

ENGINE
Coming to the engines, the new K10’s K10C petrol unit is unchanged from what was recently introduced in the updated S-Presso. Power and torque are identical as is the peak rpms. The Alto 800 is the least powerful engine of 796 cc that produces only 47 bhp of power and 69 nm of torque , which comparatively is very less than Alto k10.

FEATURES
When compared to the Alto 800, the new Maruti Alto K10 will have a lot more features to offer. These features include a huge Smart Play touchscreen entertainment system, power windows, electrically operated ORVMs, steering mounted controls, a new instrument dashboard, etc. Despite having all the necessary functions, the Alto 800 does not have the most recent bells and whistles.
EXTERIOR
To start with, the new K10 will now get a revised styling that will not only help it look premium but in addition to this, will also feature modern styling elements, similar to what we see with the new Celerio. The Alto K10 will now be based on the brand’s famous Heartect platform and will be significantly larger than the Alto 800.Both comes with Body Coloured Bumpers, Body Coloured Outside Door Handles.

PRICING
Off course being the elder sister of alto 800 the Alto k10 is more expensive than the alto 800.It costs more because of its larger size and modern looks.
