Citroen is set to introduce two new models as well as two new variants of the existing new models. The 2023 was a good year for the french carmaker thanks to the launch of the C3 hatchback, eC3, and the C3 Aircross SUV. The brand has big plans for 2024 and in this article, we’re going to explain all the details of these 4 upcoming cars in 2024 for the Indian Market.
Citroen C3 & C3 Aircross Automatic Variants (Expected: Early 2024)
Citroen is expected to introduce the automatic transmission option for the C3 hatchback and the C3 Aircross SUV in the early 2024. The 6 Speed Automatic Gearbox will be mated to the 1.2 L Turbo Petrol Engine producing 108.62 BHP and 190 NM of torque. The automatic option will make these two models more appealing for the buyers.

Citroen C3X (Expected: Mid 2024)
Citroen has been testing the C3X for months now, and what we know so far is the sedan is based on the CMP Modular Platform which underpins other of its Citroen models – C3, and C3 Aircross. It’ll compete with Tata Curvv SUV, and Sedans like Hyundai Verna, VW Virtus, Skoda Slavia, Honda City, and Maruti Ciaz. The C3X looks very similar to its siblings like the front fascia similar to C3 Aircross or C3, taillamps same except it’ll be tweaked a little to differentiate, and it’ll get new X-shape 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Jumping to cabin, it’ll look largely the same as it siblings and it’ll sport 10.25-inch infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. In Engine Options, it’ll be equipped with the same 1.2 L Turbo Petrol engine producing 108.62 BHP and 190 NM of torque paired to 6 Speed Manual and Automatic Gearbox. In Safety, it’ll get 2 Airbags, TPMS, Manual IRVM, Rear Parking Camera, ISOFIX anchorages, and few more. Since an aggressive pricing is expected, the C3X will likely miss out on ventilated seats, powered driver seats, ADAS, sunroof, just to list a few.

Citroen eC3 Aircross (Expected: Late 2024)
The eC3 Aircross is basically an electric version of the C3 Aircross and it’ll have the same features, nothing new. The front fascia will be slightly different compared to the ICE version. The eC3 Aircross will be fitted with a larger battery pack to offer 400 – 500 KMs range, and likely it’ll have a single-motor option. The EV will also have the five-seater or seven-seater configuration layout.
