In India, the two Korean siblings, the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta, are extremely well-liked. For a brief period, the Hyundai Creta led the sales of compact SUVs and continued to hold a corresponding position.

In many ways, it is clear that the Kia Seltos is a little bigger than the Hyundai Creta, and this difference extends beyond just size. Hyundai Creta has a very fine appearance, but Kia Seltos is more fashionable than Hyundai Creta due to its precisely positioned and proportioned design.

FEATURES

In the feature market, there is fierce competition. Since both cars share the majority of attributes, each one has advantages over the other. With its heads-up display, telescopic steering adjustment, tilt, and ambient lighting, the Kia Seltos has an edge over the Hyundai Creta in that it simplifies the driver’s work. Hyundai Creta, on the other hand, offers a big panoramic sunroof in place of the regular sunroof found in Kia Seltos. Despite lacking telescopic adjustability and a heads-up display, the Hyundai Creta smoothens the driving experience and adds paddle shifters.

ENGINE

Powertrains and gearboxes are shared by the Creta and Seltos. Three BS-IV compliant engines are available for both SUVs: a 1.4-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, and a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated gasoline engine. The 1.5L petrol engine is best for 115bhp and 144 Nm of torque, while the diesel engine offers 115bhp and 250 Nm of torque.

The 1.4L turbo-petrol engine, on the other hand, can produce 140 horsepower and 242 Nm of torque. Hyundai does not offer a manual transmission with the sporty 1.4-liter turbo-petrol, though. Both a 6-speed manual and CVT are available for the 1.5-liter petrol engine, while a manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic are available for the diesel.
