It is time for another comparison where we compare the Hyundai Exter against one of it’s rivals, Citroen C3, to find out if buying the C3 over the Exter is the right choice!

Hyundai Exter vs Citroen C3 – Design

From the outside, the Exter has flat bonnet with a big Hyundai logo on it and the three-tier design nose. It has H-shaped LED DRLs that are connected via a black strip and the headlamps are square shape that are halogen projector headlights. Then there is the body cladding finished in matte black all over the car to contribute towards the Exter’s looks. Moving to the side, you’ll realize the SUV has boxy shape. The doors seems to be big enough to accommodate easy in’s and out’s of the SUV. The alloy wheels, roof rails, A and B-pillars has the dual-tone treatment, and the SUV is equipped with 15-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, it has an upright tailgate with the rear windshield slightly tilted, shark fin antenna at the top, small roof-spoiler, flat and tall rear bumper with dual-tone finished. The taillamps has an H-shaped in them with a big black panel and big 2D Hyundai logo at the center.

The front design of the Citroen C3 starts from their logo finished in chrome which is basically two chrome lines that were a logo and then it spreads and separates into LED DRLs and the Halogen headlamps. Below that is hexagonal shape with rounded square grille for air intake for the engine, and X-shaped faux skid plate and orange accents around the fog lamps. From the side, the design is simple but has 15-inch steel wheels instead of alloys. The doors seems to be big enough to accommodate easy in’s and out’s of the SUV. Moving to the rear, it’s has faux skid plate at the bottom with orange accents at the corners and halogen taillamps.

From the inside, the Hyundai Exter has an 8-inch infotainment system with two round dials on left and right of the system, and four buttons both the sides above the dials to control the infotainment system. The Exter comes with dual-tone dashboard theme option with round AC vents at the sides, and rectangular AC vents below the infotainment system. The Exter has a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel with digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control below the AC vents, single-pane sunroof on top, and dual dashcams – one behind the IRVM, and the other on the rear windshield. Moving to the rear, the seats aren’t split, it’s one bench seat with the center passenger getting no headrest, but has rear AC vents, and it’ll have 6-speaker sound system.

As for the Citroen C3, it has a 10-inch infotainment system above the AC vents with round-square small vents design, and round AC vents at the sides. It has a dual-tone dashboard theme option, a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel with digital instrument cluster, and manual controls for the climate control. Moving to the rear, the seats are split in 60:40 ratio with the center passenger getting no headrest, but has rear AC vents, and it’ll have 6-speaker Arkamy’s sound system.

So, from the outside and inside, the Hyundai Exter looks way better and premium than the Citroen C3 while the Citroen C3 looks spacious from the inside.

When it comes to Engine Options, both the SUVs are powered by a normal petrol powertrain.
