Jeep Compass vs Hyundai Tucson – Exterior and Interior
The Jeep Compass from the outside has the classic Jeep grille with seven block on it and LED headlamps, and below the headlamps is the small cube-shape LED foglamps. It has cuts on the bonnet for sporty look and the bumpers are blacked out. From the side, it has thin wheel arches, non-functional roof rails, and rides on the 17-inch alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, it has spoiler with stop lamp at center, shark fin antenna on top, and has LED taillamps.
Hyundai Tucson from the outside has a parametric front grille with the side of the grille acting as LED DRLs and has cube-like LED headlamps. It has many cuts on the bonnet for the sportier look and the bumpers are finished in faux silver skid plate for both front and rear. Moving to the side, it has cuts and creases on the body for a sportier side profile, non-functional roof rail, and square wheel arches as it rides on 18-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, it has connected LED light with the LED taillights, roof spoiler with shark fin antenna on top, and electric tailgate.
From the inside, the Jeep Compass has a 10.1-inch infotainment system positioned above the AC vents and the AC vents are aligned with chrome line to give it that one clean dashboard look. It has the dual-tone dashboard option as well. The Compass has a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a huge panoramic sunroof. It has 2-zone climate control, and two USB ports at the front and rear. Around the gear lever, it has a metal toggle switch for drive modes, buttons for 4WD lock, hill descent control, 4WD low, and electric parking brake with auto hold. The push start/stop button is on the left side of the steering wheel next to the infotainment side. Moving to the rear seats, it is split in 60:40 ratio with recline seat as well.
As for the Hyundai Tucson, it has a 10.25-inch infotainment system below the rectangular AC vents and the AC vents are aligned with the chrome line to give one clean distinctive dashboard look. The control for the HVAC are now touch-based and has dual-tone dashboard theme option as well. The Tucson has four-spoke multi-function steering wheel with digital instrument cluster, a huge panoramic sunroof, and the pedals finished in black. Around the gear lever, it has buttons for parking sensors, parking camera, electric parking brake with auto hold function, and hill descent control. It has armrest with storage inside, and ventilated and heated seats button for the passenger and the driver. Moving to the rear, it has the seats split in 60:40 ratio that can be reclined as well and in case there is not enough legroom, with just a press of a button on the side of front passenger seat, you can move the seat ahead. The Tucson has 8-speaker Bose Premium Sound system to hear audio very clearly.
So, from the outside, both the SUVs look very spacious and premium but I would prefer the Tucson design as it’s look much better and it’s bigger than the Compass. Inside, the Compass looks simple, clean, and elegant, yet the interior styling of the Tucson is much more premium than the Compass.

In the end, the decision to buy which model depends totally on you, however, if you ask us, we recommend you to buy the Hyundai Tucson as its bigger in dimension, great comfort for the rear passengers, loaded with features and safety, and has good fuel efficiency. The Jeep Compass on the other is spacious, comfortable, has almost the same features and safety on offer, and fuel efficiency is better than the Tucson. Therefore, if you can afford the Hyundai Tucson you should go ahead and buy it, otherwise the Jeep Compass is a good choice as well.
