Can the Jeep Meridian top the MG Hector when it comes to features, dimensions, performance, and comfort? That is why we shall compare these two against each other to find that out!

Jeep Meridian vs MG Hector – Exterior and Interior

At the front of the Jeep Meridian, you can see it has the classic Jeep design. It has six blocks on the grille and chrome line below which joins with the LED headlamps and a big chrome bar which covers the whole front of the Meridian. At the side, it has square wheel arches with 18-inch alloy wheels, a big chrome line going through the window frames on the top till the D-pillar, and functional roof rails. At the rear, it has sleek LED taillamps with bumpers finished in faux silver skid plate.

MG seems to take lessons from the BMW in design as the front of the Hector as now even bigger grille with chrome diamond-shape inserts in them with LED DRLs joining with the grille. It retains the split headlight setup from the pre-facelift of the Hector, and as you can see at the bottom of the grille, there is the radar for the ADAS. The side has no change in look as it gets the same 18-inch alloy wheels. Moving to the rear side, MG has added a light bar that connects the taillamps with ADAS badging below the taillamps. The bumpers both at the front and the rear is finished in faux silver skid plate.

From the inside, Jeep Meridian has a clean kind of bold look as well such as the 10-inch infotainment system placed above the AC vents and the other vents are placed horizontally to make it blend with the one chrome line that runs across the dashboard. It has the dual-tone theme option as well. It has soft-touch materials on the dashboard and on the doors. It has three-spoke multi-function steering wheel with the engine start/stop on the left side, next to the infotainment system. Around the gear lever, it has a metal switch for drive modes and electric parking brake with auto hold, and other things. The second row seats cannot be moved forward or push backward as the seats are fixed, and only thing you can do is recline, and the seats are split in 60:40 ratio. The third row is not great for adults as it’s seat split ratio is 40:60 and best for children. It has leather seats upholstery, and chrome door handles.

Now, the MG Hector, it has a very clean look as it has eliminated buttons from the dashboard and everything is operated from the 14-inch vertically positioned infotainment system. It has huge AC vents in horizontal position and also has dual-tone theme dashboard option. The Hector has it’s classic looking three-spoke multi-function steering wheel with full digital instrument cluster with a huge panoramic sunroof and button for the engine start/stop is positioned on the left side near the infotainment system. The gear lever looks similar to the Creta, with metal finish buttons before the gear level for the drive modes and other thing. The seats at the rear has 60:40 split.
