Kia has updated the base model of its SUV, Seltos. The SUV has decent amount of features for the base model but now Kia has further updated the SUV for its consumers for added benefits.

Kia Seltos base trim “HTE” was available with only two colours – Clear White and Sparkling Silver. But now, Kia has offered additional 5 Colour Options which will now prompt consumers to buy the base trim with the available 7 Colours. With limited options may have forced the buyers to opt for higher trim which sometimes is out of their budget, and hence have chosen to go with rival offerings.

These 5 Colour Options are – Imperial Blue, Pewter Olive, Intense Red, Gravity Grey, and Aurora. Black Pearl. If we compare it to its rivals, the Creta base trim is available with 5 Colour Options, and Grand Vitara is available with 4 Colour Options.

Does it get any new features? No, Kia has added any new features with base trim. Mechanically, it remains unchanged. The base trim is available with 2 Engine Choices – 1.5 L NA Petrol and the 1.5 L Diesel with 6 Speed Manual Gearbox only. Recently, Kia updated the Seltos by adding new features to its connected car technology.

Later this year, Kia plans to introduce several new models to the Indian market. The new Carnival, recently spotted undisguised, is set for release. Additionally, Kia’s flagship electric SUV, the EV9, is slated for a late-year launch. Another SUV, the Clavis, currently undergoing tests in Hyderabad, is expected to be revealed later this year with a launch anticipated in 2025.
