Kia Sonet has been a strong player in the subcompact SUV segment since its launch in September 2020. Competing with models like the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and Tata Nexon, the Sonet has consistently delivered strong sales numbers. With multiple updates and a facelift in 2024, it has remained one of Kia India’s best-selling models.

October – 11,721 units
November – 11,417 units
December – 5,959 units
2021: First Full Year of Sales

2022: Best-Performing Year
Kia Sonet registered its highest-ever sales in 2022, with 86,251 units sold. Consistent demand and improved production helped it outperform rivals in several months.
2023: Sales Fluctuations Amid Rising Competition
With more SUVs entering the market, the Sonet faced tougher competition, leading to a slight dip in sales. It closed 2023 with 79,776 units, maintaining a strong presence in the segment.
2024: Record-Breaking Sales with the Facelift
Kia Sonet received a facelift in early 2024, boosting sales significantly. By August 2024, it had already crossed 106,690 units, making it the highest-selling year for the model.
From September 2020 to December 2024, the Kia Sonet has consistently performed well, establishing itself as a key contender in the compact SUV space. The 2024 facelift has given it a fresh boost, driving record-breaking sales. With Kia’s aggressive strategy, the Sonet is expected to remain a top choice in the Indian SUV market.
