
Kia Syros clocked 20,000+ bookings since pre-orders went live last month! It officially launched in February.
Kia India’s newly launched Syros SUV has received an overwhelming response, crossing 20,000 bookings since pre-orders opened on January 3, 2025. The vehicle was officially launched on February 1, with deliveries beginning mid-February. Priced between Rs. 8.99 lakh and Rs. 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Syros is available in six variants with two engine options, each offering both manual and automatic transmissions.
Kia Syros Booking Trends
Customer preferences highlight a strong inclination towards premium trims, with 46% of buyers opting for top-end variants. The petrol-powered models dominate with 67% of total bookings, while the remaining 33% are for diesel variants. Among transmission choices, automatic variants account for 38% of bookings.
Glacier White Pearl has emerged as the most popular colour, comprising 32% of total bookings, followed by Aurora Black Pearl (26%) and Frost Blue (20%).
Kia Syros: Engine and Performance
The Kia Syros is available with both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol models are powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 118 bhp and 172 Nm of peak torque, paired with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The diesel variants use a 1.5-litre engine generating 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, also seen in the Sonet, Seltos, and Carens. Transmission choices for the diesel include a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic.
Advanced Technology and Features
Kia has equipped the Syros with several advanced features to set a benchmark in the sub-compact SUV segment. The standout features include a 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display integrating a touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
The SUV also offers ventilated front and rear seats with reclining and sliding functions, along with 64-colour ambient lighting for a customizable cabin experience.
Safety and ADAS Features
Kia has introduced Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) with 16 adaptive safety features, including lane keep assist, hill start assist, electronic stability control, and front parking sensors. ADAS-equipped trims have accounted for 18% of total bookings.
Additionally, the Syros offers Over-the-Air (OTA) updates for remote software upgrades of 16 vehicle controllers, eliminating the need for dealership visits. Kia Connect 2.0 provides over 80 connected car features, while Kia Connect Diagnosis (KCD) and Kia Advanced Total Care (KATC) offer real-time vehicle health monitoring and service alerts.
