
Mahindra reports 36,205 units in July 2023 with 29.98% growth over the last year with SUVs leading the sales!
Mahindra revealed the sales figures for the month of July 2023 and it was indeed a good month for them as they reported 36,205 unit sales with 18.75% growth over the last year.

Mahindra Sales in July 2023 were 36,205 units with 29.98% year-on-year growth against the 27,854 units in July 2022 with volume growth by 8,351 units. When comparing to it’s previous month, June 2023, which is 32,588 units, it reports month-on-month growth by 11.10% with volume growth by 3,617 units. These improved numbers in sales includes models such as XUV700, Scorpio (Classic and Scorpio-N), Bolero, XUV300, Thar, etc.
The Year-To-Date Sales were at 1,36,367 units which is up by 32% against the 1,03,274 units in the same period last year. The Cars and Vans Sales dropped to 0 over the 199 units in July 2022 while Year-To-Date sales were at 10 units over the 1,089 units last year same period with decline in growth by 99%. The Passenger vehicles stood at 36,205 units over the 28,053 units in July 2022 with 29% year-on-year growth. The Year-To-Date Sales were at 1,36,377 units against the 1,04,363 units with increased growth by 31%.

In the commercial vehicle and 3-wheeler segment, the LCV sales in the 2T were 3400 against the 3693 units in July 2023 which is down by 8%, and Year-To-Date sales were 12,792 units over the 13,260 units which is in decline by 4%. In the 2T – 3.5T, the sales were 16,503 units which is 0.3% growth over the 16,445 units in July 2022, and Year-To-Date Sales were 65,043 against the 63,907 units with 2% decline.
The 3.5T + MHCV saw sales of 995 units over the 808 units with 23% growth, and Year-to-Date sales were 4,315 units against the 2,761 units with 56% increase. The 3 Wheelers (including EVs) were 6481 units with 49% growth against the 4,351 units, and Year-To-Date sales were 24,261 units over the 15,013 units which is 62% growth. Total Exports in July 2023 were 2,540 units over the 2,798 units with 9% decline, and Year-To-Date Sales were 9,474 units against the 10,306 units with 85 decline.
Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., had this to say, “It has been a record-breaking month for us. We’re excited to clock the highest-ever SUV domestic sales of 36,205 in a month. The XUV700 tribe grew to 1 lakh strong, in a record time of 20 months. Also in July, the Scorpio brand achieved the highest sales in a month since its launch. We continue to receive robust demand for our key brands. We’ll keep a close watch on the availability of semi-conductors and select parts to ensure sustained scale up.”
