With launch of the SUV scheduled for August 15th, the test mules of the SUV are spotted consistently revealing many new things. This time we’ve spied the Mid-variant of the SUV. Let’s break it down for you!

Thar 5-Door Mid-Variant Spied: Anything New Revealed?

The Thar 5 Door will be available in multiple variants and today, we spied a mid-variant revealing new thing. This variant comes with LED Tail-lamps, Headlamps, and DRLs, but doesn’t get side step-up plate which may indicate the ground clearance will vary for some variants; like the lower to Mid trims will have a lower ground clearance while the mid to Top trims will have higher clearance. Moreover, the SUV is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels; even the spare wheel appears to be full size alloys and not lower size steel wheels.

Other than that, the SUV boasts a sleek dashboard design reminiscent of its 3-door version. Spy shots reveal dual 10.25-inch screens—one for infotainment and another for the digital cockpit cluster, akin to the XUV3XO. Air conditioning controls are managed via rotary dials, retaining similarity. The steering wheel similar to the XUV700’s. Moreover it gets driver armrests, a center console with storage, and front-row cupholders. On top, there’s no sunroof just flat roof with roof lamps.

The Thar 5 Door will get two engine options which are taken from the Scorpio-N SUV, except the output won’t be the same, it’ll be lowered down by few percentage. The 2.2 L Diesel and 2.0 L Turbo Petrol Engine will be the options available with 6 Speed Manual (MT) and Automatic (AT) during launch.

Mahindra will be launching the Thar 5 Door on August 15th, 2024, with some crazy features. Upon on its launch, it’ll rival the 5 Door Maruti Jimny, and the upcoming 5 Door Force Gurkha. We expect Mahindra to price the Thar 5 Door from Rs. 15 Lakhs.
