Mahindra provides the XUV700 in both 5- and 7-seater configurations, and offers a range of powertrain options to cater to different preferences. The petrol version of the XUV700 is equipped with a 2.0 L 4 Cylinder turbocharged mStallion engine, which generates a robust 197 BHP and 380NM of torque. On the diesel side, the XUV700 is available with two distinct tunes for the 2.2 L 4 Cylinder mHawk diesel engine: one producing 152 BHP with 360 NM of torque and the other delivering a more powerful 177 BHP with an impressive 420Nm of torque. The diesel automatic variant boasts even more torque, with 450 NM on tap.

Mahindra offers two transmission choices: a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The base-spec MX trim is exclusively available with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while all other variants give customers the option to choose between a manual or automatic gearbox. For those seeking enhanced off-road capabilities, Mahindra also offers the XUV700 with an all-wheel-drive option for the AX7 and AX7L trims.

The Mahindra XUV700 rivals the newly facelift updated Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, and the MG Hector Plus.
