
Maruti will be soon launching their first-ever electric SUV priced under Rs. 20 Lakhs to dominate the EV segment the same way they have been dominating the ICE Segment for years. Maruti eVX: All Details!
The eVX has frequently been spied, revealing key details about the upcoming electric vehicle (EV). It is equipped with LED projector headlamps, V-shaped LED DRLs, disc brakes on all four wheels, alloy wheels, a rear wiper with washer, a large roof spoiler, door handles located on the C-pillar, a gloss-black finished shark fin antenna, connected LED tail lamps, cameras on the ORVMs, a radar module on the front fascia for ADAS, and a charging port positioned on the left front fender.

The interior spy shots revealed a new two-spoke steering wheel with a flat bottom effect, with controls finished in gloss black. However, Maruti may switch to touch-sensitive controls, following current trends. The dashboard of the spied SUV for the Indian market appears to be covered with cloth, but it is likely to feature a free-standing 10.25-inch dual display setup, with one screen dedicated to the instrument cluster and the other for infotainment purposes.
Additional interior features include vertically positioned central AC vents, an electronic parking brake with auto hold function on the center console, and various testing equipment, partially obscured by camouflage. The eVX is expected to have a panoramic sunroof and rear AC vents. The cabin is anticipated to have a dual-tone theme, enhancing its aesthetic appeal.
The eVX measures 4300 mm in length, 1800 mm in width, and 1600 mm in height, making it comparable in size to the most compact SUVs on sale in India. The EV is equipped with a 60 kWh battery pack, offering a 550 km range on a single charge with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system.
Feature-wise, the EV is expected to offer a plethora of features such as ventilated front seats, a wireless charging pad, dual-zone climate control, an electric parking brake with auto hold, drive and traction modes, a 360 surround view camera, six airbags as standard, TPMS, hill descent control, ambient lighting, and much more.
Maruti Suzuki will be launching its first-ever electric SUV in 2025. When it launches, this compact SUV will rival the likes of the MG ZS EV, the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV (launching in January 2025), and the Tata Curvv EV (launching in September 2024). Maruti is expected to price the eVX starting from Rs. 20 lakhs.
