The new-gen Amaze will come to sport the 1.2 L 4 Cylinder Petrol Engine producing 88.50 BHP and 110 NM of torque paired to 5 Speed MT, and 7 Speed CVT. The Amaze is the only sedan in the segment to not come with CNG option. It remains to be seen, if Honda thinks of offering an alternate fuel option.
Other than that, the new Honda Amaze is built on the Honda’s ACE platform which underpins the City and the Elevate, and it’s likely to adopt the same design language as well, or share similarity to Accord (sold internationally). Interestingly, the second-gen Amaze was inspired by the Accord at that time, and similar approach could be taken as well for the third-gen model like new grille with hexagonal-like pattern, thinner LED DRLs within the new sleeker LED headlamps, and the bumpers little aggressive than the outgoing version.
Jumping to the cabin, we expect the interiors to undergo new design layout, possibly could feature a free-standing touchscreen 8-inch infotainment system, similar to the Accord. Although it’s possible the interior layout could be similar to the City as well like vertically-positioned AC vents, new 4-spoke steering wheel, semi-digital instrument cluster, centre armrest, and new upholstery for the dashboard, and the interiors.
Honda Amaze 2024 launch timeline at the moment is unknown, but if the word is out of Honda working on the next-gen of the Amaze, we can expect them to launch it in the mid to late 2024. The new Amaze will compete with the Hyundai Aura, and the upcoming next-gen Maruti Dzire.
