New Mercedes-Benz GLC!

The new second-gen GLC will launch on August 9th with bookings open officially, and the SUV will be available in two powertrain – Petrol and Diesel.

Mercedes-Benz India revealed that it’ll be launching the new second-gen GLC SUV in India on August 9th, 2023 and has begun accepting bookings for the SUV at Rs. 1.5 lakh.

New Mercedes-Benz GLC – What you need to know!

A month ago, Mercedes-Benz India had released the images of the next-gen GLC undergoing final stages of testing in India. The new GLC will not come with AMG variant at launch, but will be available after some time. The new GLC will launch on August 9th with deliveries beginning by the end of August 2023. The second-generation GLC was globally unveiled in June last year, and the new GLC has a luxurious and tech-focused interior, new powertrains including new three plug-in hybrid drivetrains. The GLC from the inside, looks identical to the new C-Class as the GLC has also got two huge screens – 12.3-inch instrument cluster, and a 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system positioned vertically.

Internationally, the GLC is available with two petrol and diesel engines with plug-in hybrids that gives maximum range of 120 km, and has 4MATIC four wheel drive as standard. As for the India, according to the sources, Mercedes will launch the GLC 200 with a 2.0-litre petrol engine and GLC 220d 2.0-litre diesel engine, and internationally, the petrol engine produces 201.20 bhp and 320 Nm of torque and the diesel engine produces 194.30 bhp and 440 Nm of torque, and both will be paired with a 48V integrated starter motor which is like mild-hybrid tech that gives you additional 22.68 bhp.

The current Mercedes-Benz GLC starts at Rs. 72 lakh (ex-showroom), and with refreshed looks and techy interiors, and the technology it has been loaded with, we expect the price to go up and start at Rs. 75 lakh (ex-showroom). The second-generation Mercedes-Benz GLC will launch in India sometime in late July 2023 with deliveries beginning in August. Once launched, it’ll rival the Audi Q5, Volvo XC60, BMW X3, Lexus, NX, and Land Rover Discover Sport.
