Maruti Suzuki has officially launched the fourth-generation Swift in India with new features and upgrades over its previous iteration. The new Swift gets an evolutionary design along with new engine, enhanced safety, and few new features.

The new Swift is made at an investment of Rs. 1,450 Crores, and will be manufactured at their Gujarat Plant. It’s worthy of this investment as the Swift is still the best-selling car of India averaging 17,000 Units consistently, and you’ll always find it in the Top 5 Best-Selling Cars. Over the generation, the household name “Swift” has been successful in its three generations, and the fourth generation is possible to take it to the next level.

New 2024 Maruti Swift: Exterior
The new Swift has the same design language as its outgoing version, but still undergoes certain changes such as new radiator front grille, sleek LED Headlamps Unit and within that is the L-shaped LED DRLs, LED Fog Lamps just above the bumper, rear door handles now back to its conventional position, new Alloy Wheels design, and new tail-lamps with C-shape pattern. Notably, the dimensions of new Swift has increased by 15 MM in Length, 40 MM Narrower, and 30 MM Taller.
Maruti is offering 9 Paint Options out of which 6 are Monotone Colours – Sizzling Red, Luster Blue, Novel Orange, Magma Grey, Splendid Silver, and Pearl Arctic White; and 3 Dual-tone Colours – Sizzling Red, Luster Blue, and Pearl Arctic White with Midnight Black Pearl Roof. Maruti is also offering two accessory packages – Racing Roadstar, and Thrill Chaser with former adding sporty cosmetic changes inside and outside; while latter offers “energetic exterior and glamorous styling changes.”
New 2024 Maruti Swift: Interior
The new Swift as we all know looks reminiscent of other Maruti Models like the Baleno, Fronx, Brezza, etc. The hatch definitely looks premium than its older iteration with the model getting new floating 9-inch Infotainment System positioned at the centre with textured dash. The hatch gets new Fabric Upholstery, new AC vents, new switchgear for the HVAC bidding goodbye to round dials, and tweaked analog instrument cluster with 4.2-inch TFT MID.

When you compare the outgoing Swift Engine with a Newer version, you can see the difference between the two. For instance, the power output has gone by 8.05 BHP and the Torque has gone down by 1.3 NM. Yet, the new Engine is very efficient with difference of 2.42 KMPL for the Manual, and 3.19 KMPL for the Automatic. What’s even more surprising is that the new Swift is even more frugal than the Wagon R, Alto K10, and S-Presso which are equipped with 1.0 L Petrol Engine.

The new Swift comes with features such as 9-inch Infotainment System with Wireless Apple Carplay / Android Auto, Wireless Charging Pad, Rear AC Vents, LED Headlamps and Tail-lamps, Cruise Controls, Arkamy’s 6 Speaker Sound System, Push Button Start / Stop, Power Adjustable and Electrically Foldable ORVMs with Turn Indicators, Automatic Climate Control, and so on.
In Safety, Maruti announced the safety for occupants has improved and now offers 6 Airbags as standard, ISOFIX Child-Seat Anchorages, ABS with EBD, ESC, Hill Start Assist, Rear Parking Camera with Rear Sensors, Front Disc Brakes, Manual Day / Night IRVM, and few more.
