Toyota Fortuner is set to face a fierce competition from its old competitor as they introduce a new facelift update which features that Toyota doesn’t even offer. This rival is the ISUZU MU-X SUV expected to launch in India next year with features over the Thailand version.
The front of the 2025 MU-X has undergone a major redesign like new headlights and a reshaped bumper, inspired by the sleek and aggressive design of fighter jets. This redesign isn’t just about aesthetics; the bumper also includes air curtains to enhance aerodynamic efficiency. The 2025 update introduces new wheels and a redesigned tailgate with a fresh set of taillights. Notably, the addition of the RS variant stands out. Positioned above the LS-E variants, the RS variant gives the SUV a sportier appearance with gloss-black accents and a unique set of alloy wheels.
Inside, the Indian-spec version will look remains familiar, but still will get upgrades like new 10.25-inch Infotainment System and fully digital cluster adding a unique touch to the MU-X over the Thailand version. The 2025 model also features a new infotainment system and upgraded seat cushions. We don’t know, if India would get the RS model, but if it does, the RS model brings additional enhancements, including black leather seats with a matching black headliner. The RS also boasts green stitching on the dash, seats, and door panels. To further set the RS apart from other variants, red ambient lights illuminate the doors.

The facelift will see the MU-X getting new features like the Level 2 ADAS with functions like Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist, ‘Emergency Lane Keeping’ that lessens the risk of lane change accidents on the highway. The Isuzu MU-X Facelift launched in Thailand at THB 1,184,000 which translates to approx. Rs. 27 Lakhs in India.
