Ola Electric has launched its new Gen 3 range of electric scooters, adding to its portfolio of Gen 2 products. The lineup now starts at Rs 79,999 (S1X Gen 3, 2 kWh) and goes up to Rs 1,69,999 (S1 Pro+ Gen 3, 5.3 kWh), all prices ex-showroom. These introductory prices are valid for 7 days, after which Ola may revise them. Sales have already begun on the company’s website and at authorized dealerships, with deliveries set to start in mid-February.

Key Features of Ola Gen 3 Scooters

The Gen 3 range brings several advancements over its predecessors, including Brake-By-Wire technology and a new mid-drive motor with a chain drive across all variants. Ola claims this new motor setup is 4% more energy-efficient, offers 5x better reliability, and doubles the lifespan of the drivetrain. The updated chain drive provides 10% better acceleration and a 2% energy-efficiency boost compared to the older belt-drive system.

Another notable change is the single integrated board that controls all electronic components, which enhances efficiency and reduces manufacturing costs by 31%. The company also rolled out MoveOS 5, featuring DIY modes for customizing regen braking and throttle response, smartwatch app integration, and new features like Roadtrip Mode and Bharat Mood.

The scooters also get updated designs, including new body graphics, premium grab handles, die-cast aluminum grab rails, new seat designs for better ergonomics, and decals on the wheel rims. Additionally, the Gen 3 lineup is available in multiple new colors, including white, red, black, silver, blue, dark blue, and light blue.
