Maruti Suzuki will be soon launching it’s first-ever electric SUV in India, but it gets these new features over the Grand Vitara!

Maruti Suzuki revealed the Indian-spec production-version of it’s first-ever electric SUV, eVitara at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. In coming weeks, Maruti will be launching the SUV to compete against Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta EV, and Mahindra BE 6. However, the new EV gets these new features over the Grand Vitara. Let’s take a look: 

1. Level 2 ADAS

For the first time in an Maruti car, the eVitara will be getting Level 2 ADAS with functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, and more. These features prove useful in everyday driving, significantly improving the vehicle’s active safety and driver assistance.

2. Large Displays

The eVitara will be equipped with a larger dual 10.25-inches displays – Infotainment and Digital Driver’s Display. Meanwhile the Grand Vitara comes with 9-inches Infotainment and a 7-inch Digital Cluster for Hybrid variants. 

3. Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold

The Grand Vitara uses a conventional handbrake lever while the eVitara is equipped with an Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold Function offering added convenience and enhanced safety, especially in stop-and-go traffic conditions.

4. 10-way Power Adjustable Driver Seat

The eVitara comes with a 10-way Power Adjustable Driver Seat  providing enhanced comfort and personalized seating positions for the driver. The Grand Vitara on the other hand has to be manually adjusted to your comfortable position.

5. Premium Sound System

The eVitara is the first SUV from Maruti to come with 10 Speakers Sound System from Infinity, delivering an immersive audio experience with premium sound quality. The Grand Vitara, however, comes with 6 Speakers Arkamy’s 3D Surround Sound System.

6. 7 Airbags

The eVitara will be the first Maruti SUV in India to feature 7 airbags, including an additional driver-side knee airbag for enhanced safety. In comparison, the Grand Vitara offers up to 6 airbags for top variants.

7. Sliding & Reclining Rear Seats

While the Grand Vitara offers reclining rear seats, the eVitara also comes with reclining along with sliding function as well to give the passenger more leg room for better comfort.

8. Front Parking Sensors

The eVitara features both front and rear parking sensors for enhanced convenience, while the Grand Vitara only comes with rear sensors.
