Honda Motorcycle & Scooter launched the 2025 Honda Activa with new features and stricter OBD2B Emission Standards!
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the 2025 Honda Activa, now updated to meet stricter OBD2B emission standards. The updates ensure compliance with the upcoming phase of Bharat Stage VI (BS VI) norms, offering better real-time emissions monitoring. The 2025 Honda Activa is priced at Rs. 80,950 (ex-showroom) for the base variant, marking an increase of approximately Rs. 2,266 compared to its predecessor.
Design, Colours, and Specifications
Visually, the 2025 Activa remains similar to its predecessor but offers six exciting colour options: Pearl Precious White, Decent Blue Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Axis Gray Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, and Pearl Siren Blue.
The scooter continues to use an Under Bone frame with telescopic front forks and a 3-step adjustable rear suspension. It rides on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear tubeless tyres designed to reduce rolling resistance. The braking setup includes drum brakes on both ends. The Activa has a ground clearance of 162 mm and a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 litres.
Engine and Fuel Efficiency
The 2025 Activa retains its reliable 109.51cc single-cylinder PGM-Fi engine, now producing 8 PS of power and 9.05 Nm of torque. The engine is equipped with an Idling Stop System, designed to reduce fuel wastage during brief stops, such as at traffic signals. The system automatically turns off the engine and restarts it with a simple throttle twist, improving overall fuel efficiency and reducing fossil fuel consumption.
New Features
The most significant upgrade for the 2025 Activa is the inclusion of a 4.2-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. When paired with the Honda RoadSync app, users can access features such as call alerts, text notifications, and navigation. Additionally, a Type-C USB charging port has been introduced for added convenience.
The scooter is available in three variants – STD, DLX, and H-Smart. The DLX and H-Smart trims now feature alloy wheels and LED headlamps, while the base STD variant retains a halogen unit. Other notable equipment includes a single-piece grab rail, black alloy wheels, and a black seat for a modern look.
Pricing and Rivals
The updated 2025 Honda Activa is competitively priced, starting at Rs. 80,950 for the base STD variant. Prices for the DLX and H-Smart variants are yet to be announced. The Activa continues to compete with popular scooters such as the TVS Jupiter and Hero Pleasure Plus XTEC in the Indian market.
The addition of advanced features, improved fuel efficiency, and OBD2B compliance make the 2025 Honda Activa a strong contender in the segment, maintaining its reputation as one of India’s most reliable scooters.
