A New Hyundai SUV has been spotted which raises a question – is it their version of Syros?

The second-generation Hyundai Venue has been spotted testing in South Korea, revealing major exterior and interior upgrades. Despite these updates, Hyundai will retain the current engine and transmission options for the new-gen Venue, which is expected to launch during the festive season in October 2025 or possibly early 2026.

New Exterior Redesign Inspired by Palisad

The upcoming Hyundai Venue, codenamed QU2i, will adopt a sharper, more rugged design while retaining its familiar boxy silhouette. Spy shots reveal a redesigned front end with new split LED DRLs and squared-off headlamps, along with a refreshed grille that takes cues from the latest Hyundai Palisade (sold internationally) and headlamps of Hyundai Creta.

For the first time, front parking sensors and a radar module have been spotted, suggesting the addition of Level 2 ADAS capabilities. Other visible changes include chunkier roof rails, thicker body cladding, dual-tone ORVMs, and new sportier alloy wheels with a DCT badge on the fenders.

The side profile sees a flatter beltline design, while the rear is expected to feature connected LED tail-lamps, a silver-finished bumper, and a black shark fin antenna. Full disc brakes on all four wheels will now be standard, replacing the rear drum brakes found on the current model (except N Line).

Interior & Features – Major Upgrade Incoming

Although the cabin remains under wraps, the 2025 Hyundai Venue is expected to get a completely updated interior layout. This includes a new dashboard design, updated centre console, fresh interior themes, and ambient lighting options. Feature-wise, the SUV could offer a panoramic sunroof, larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, wireless charging, and automatic climate control. The new Venue is also expected to offer an upgraded ADAS Level 2 Suite.

No Change in Powertrain

Despite speculations around phasing out diesel engines, Hyundai will continue offering the same engine options in the next-gen Venue:

  • 1.2 L NA Petrol – 82 BHP, 113.8 Nm, 5-speed manual
  • 1.0 L Turbo Petrol – 118 BHP, 172 Nm, 6-speed manual / 7-speed DCT
  • 1.5 L Diesel – 114 BHP, 250 Nm, 6-speed manual

This ensures a wide range of options catering to both city commuters and performance-focused buyers.

Hyundai Venue 2025 Launch Timeline & Rivals

The next-gen Hyundai Venue is expected to launch around October 2025 with a slight price hike over the current starting price of ₹7.94 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to compete in the highly competitive B-SUV segment against rivals
