Maruti Suzuki had launched the Jimny 5-Door in India last year and upon its launch, many were crazy about the SUV during its launch. However, it didn’t turn out the way, they would’ve wanted. Now, Suzuki has launched a new Edition for the SUV.
Parent Company, Suzuki launched a new Special Heritage Edition in Australia which has been produced in India. The Jimny XL Heritage Edition in Australia will be available in just 500 Units only. This special edition gets exterior changes like special decals on the body with Heritage logo, cargo tray and red front and rear mud flaps. It is available in 5 Paint Options – White, Chiffon Ivory + Bluish Black Pearl, Jungle Green, Bluish Black Pearl, and Granite Grey Metallic.

From the inside, it doesn’t get any changes at all. The Jimny Heritage Edition is powered by the same 1.5 L 4 Cylinder K15B Petrol Engine, however, the Australian version is tuned differently, and hence it delivers 99 BHP and 130 NM Torque mated to 5 Speed Manual Gearbox only. No Automatic Gearbox available with this edition. The standard edition gets the 4 Speed Torque Converter Automatic Gearbox.
As for the Features, it comes with 9-inch Infotainment system with Wireless Apple Carplay / Android Auto, Hill Hold Assist, Hill Descent Control, Automatic Climate Control, Brake Limited Slip Differential, 6 airbags, and so on. Moreover, the Australian-spec version gets ADAS with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AED) as standard for all trims to comply with their country norms.
India few months ago had gotten the Thunder Edition, and it still didn’t help them achieve the expected sales figures. So, Maruti may launched another special edition for the SUV to boost sales along with maybe some new features.
