Tata Motors while is planning to launch the Altroz Racer in India soon, but a test mule of Altroz was seen on the roads which may indicate facelift update, but it highly possible it’ll get new equipment and feature additions along with some improvements.

Tata Motors will be equipping the Altroz with some new features and little improvements making it closer to the Altroz Racer. The premium hatchback competes with the likes of Hyundai i20, Toyota Glanza, and Maruti Baleno. The Altroz ain’t getting a significant update as that would with the facelift only, but given the spied test mule is highly unlikely to be facelift model, the updated hatch may sport features similar to the Nexon and the Altroz Racer version.

So, expect the 7-inch TFT instrument cluster from Nexon mid-variants replacing the Semi-Digital Instrument Cluster which has a analog speedometer, and screen for the information; free-standing 10.25-inch Infotainment with Wireless Apple Carplay / Android Auto and additional connected car features, and it’s possible Tata may add 360 Surround View Camera but keep it exclusive for top-spec variant only.

Tata offers extensive range of engine options with the Altroz which none of its rivals does. The 1.2 L Turbo Petrol, 1.5 L Diesel, and the 1.2 L CNG are available with 5 Speed Manual Gearbox only, and also offering high fuel efficiency whereas the 1.2 L Petrol comes with 5 Speed Manual and 6 Speed DCT Gearbox options providing good on-road mileage as well.
The current Altroz is priced between Rs. 6.65 – Rs. 10.80 Lakh, but with the inclusion of these new features, expect the pricing to up from mid-spec trims to top-spec variants by Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000.
