A New Tata Model has been spotted on the roads testing with launch taking place by the end of this year to boost sales!
Despite the rising dominance of SUVs in the Indian market, hatchbacks like the Tata Altroz continue to hold their ground. Tata Motors is actively working on a facelift for its premium hatchback, and recent spy shots provide a clearer look at the upcoming updates.
2025 Tata Altroz Facelift: Design Updates
The latest spy images reveal key design changes while the test mule remains heavily camouflaged. The Altroz facelift will feature sleeker LED headlights, likely replacing the existing halogen units. Unlike the current model, the facelift does not have visible fog lamps below the headlights. Instead, large C-shaped elements in the front bumper enhance its sporty appeal. The closed-off upper grille is expected to receive a Gloss Black finish in the production model.
At the rear, the hatchback could get redesigned LED tail-lights and new alloy wheels. The wipers appear to be of a frameless premium type, adding to the modern look.
Interior and Features
While the cabin remains mostly hidden, the facelifted Altroz is expected to feature updates inspired by newer Tata models. This could include a new steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, touch-and-toggle climate controls, and a rotary dial for Drive Modes. The dashboard might house a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, currently available on the Altroz Racer.
Other expected features include rear disc brakes, ventilated front seats, and premium upholstery. However, a sunroof is unlikely to be offered. Tata Motors may also expand the availability of high-end features across more variants.
Engine and Transmission Options
The Tata Altroz remains one of the most versatile hatchbacks in India in terms of powertrain options. The facelift is expected to retain the same engines, including:
- 1.2L NA Petrol (86.63 bhp) – Available with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic.
- 1.2L Turbo Petrol (118 bhp, Altroz Racer) – Paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
- 1.2L NA Petrol CNG (72 bhp) – Comes with a 5-speed manual.
- 1.5L Diesel (88 bhp) – Available only with a 5-speed manual.
The Altroz is currently India’s only premium hatchback with a factory-fitted dual-cylinder CNG setup and the only diesel-powered hatchback in the segment. These powertrain choices are expected to continue in the facelifted version.
Final Thoughts
The 2025 Tata Altroz facelift will bring modern design tweaks, additional features, and premium cabin updates while retaining its existing engine options. More details are expected to emerge closer to launch, solidifying its position in the premium hatchback segment.
