A New Tata SUV was spotted just days ahead of its launch. It comes with big features that it rivals aren’t seen with.

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch its flagship electric SUV, the Harrier EV. Recently, fully undisguised test mules have been spotted on public roads, confirming that the launch is imminent. The production version was first showcased at Auto Expo 2025, and now, the Harrier EV has been seen in multiple color options, including a White shade with a Black dual-tone roof.

Tata Harrier EV – Design & Features

The Harrier EV retains the robust design of its ICE counterpart but gets EV-specific styling updates. The front features a closed-off grille with horizontal slats, a redesigned bumper, and a faux skid plate in silver. The LED DRLs and vertically stacked headlamp units are similar to the standard Harrier.

The side profile remains unchanged, with the same silhouette, ORVMs with cameras, body cladding, and roof rails. A “.ev” logo on the front doors signifies its electric identity. The test mules also feature large aerodynamic 19-inch alloy wheels. The rear design remains largely identical to the ICE model, apart from a “Harrier.ev” badge on the tailgate.

Inside, the cabin is expected to closely resemble the Harrier diesel. A few changes might include a refreshed color scheme, an updated infotainment system, and EV-specific displays. The feature list is expected to include:

  • 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay
  • 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster
  • 360-degree camera
  • Summon Mode
  • Level-2 ADAS
  • Ventilated front and rear seats
  • Electrically adjustable front seat with memory function
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • 7 airbags & Blind Spot Assist
  • 4-Wheel-Drive
  • 6 Traction Modes

A special Stealth Edition with a matte black exterior, blacked-out elements, and an all-black interior could also be introduced.

Performance & Battery Options

Tata Motors has confirmed that the Harrier EV will feature a dual-motor AWD setup producing 500 Nm of torque. Two battery options are expected:

  • 60 kWh pack (Standard)
  • 75 kWh pack (Long Range)

The larger battery is estimated to deliver 500 km of real-world range. Fast charging support will also be available. The Harrier EV might also feature an independent multi-link rear suspension for better ride quality compared to the ICE version.

Expected Launch & Pricing

The Tata Harrier EV is expected to launch later this month, with prices likely starting between Rs. 22 – 25 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete directly with the Mahindra XEV.9e in India.
