Volkswagen India has launched the new Highline Plus variants to its popular Taigun subcompact SUV and Virtus midsize sedan models. These additions come in both manual and automatic versions, enhancing the mid-level Highline trim with more premium features.

Volkswagen Taigun Highline Plus Pricing & Features
The Volkswagen Taigun Highline Plus is available at Rs. 14.27 lakh for the manual variant and Rs. 15.37 lakh for the automatic.
This makes it up to Rs. 89,000 pricier than the existing Highline trim, but the extra cost brings added features such as:
- 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Sunroof
- Auto-dimming IRVM
- Push-button start
- Rain-sensing wipers
- Follow-me-home headlamp functionality
Additionally, buyers benefit from premium options like wireless charging, automatic climate control, reverse parking sensors with a camera, and electronic stability control.
Volkswagen Virtus Highline Plus Pricing & Features
The Volkswagen Virtus Highline Plus variant is available with both manual and automatic transmissions, priced at Rs. 13.88 lakh and Rs. 14.98 lakh, respectively.
With a price jump of up to Rs. 86,000 over the Highline trim, the Virtus Highline Plus offers a similar suite of premium features:
- 8.0-inch Infotainment
- Sunroof
- Auto-dimming IRVM
- Push-button start
- Rear AC vents
Volkswagen has also equipped the Virtus Highline Plus with a wireless charging pad, height-adjustable driver seat, electrically foldable ORVMs, and advanced safety features like ABS with EBD and brake assist.
Powertrain Options
Both the Taigun and Virtus Highline Plus come with Volkswagen’s powerful TSI turbo-petrol engines:
- A 1.0L 3-cylinder engine producing 115 bhp and 175 Nm of torque mated to 6 Speed Manual & Automatic Transmission.
- A more robust 1.5L 4-cylinder engine delivering 147.5 bhp and 250 Nm of torque paired with 6 Speed Manual and 7 Speed DSG Transmission.
Upcoming Facelift and Feature Updates
Volkswagen is expected to launch a major facelift for both the Taigun and Virtus by 2026. This refresh will likely bring cosmetic enhancements, upgraded features, and the introduction of ADAS with Level 2 Functionality.
