4 Upcoming Kia Models in 2023 That Could Shock the Carmakers in India!

Kia will be launching 4 models in India by the end of 2023 and these 4 models are facelift updates – Sonet, Seltos, Carnival, and Carens. Here is the list when each Kia facelift will be launching in India.

Kia Sonet Facelift (Expected Near End of 2023)

Kia Sonet was first launched in August 2020 and since then it was due for an update, well, Kia had sent a test mule of the facelift to Korea for testing, and should launch before the end of 2023. There are few design tweaks over the current one which are barely visible because it is heavily covered. The facelift will get crisper headlamp design and piano-black finished grille which is newly designed as well. The headlamps appears to be connected with the fog lamps vertically which might be used as LED DRLs or turn indicators. There will be new bumper as well with large fog-lamps.

The current Sonet is already loaded with features such as ventilated seats, 7-speaker Bose Premium sound system, air purifier, sunroof, wireless charging, reverse-parking camera with rear and front parking sensors, 10.25-inch infotainment system, and much more. In the facelift, it could have 360-degree camera and many more.

Kia Seltos Facelift (Expected in July 2023)

Kia was spotted testing the Seltos Facelift numerous times in India and is expected to launch the facelift sometime in July 2023. Kia has updated the front tiger grille of the new Seltos with LED DRLs running on it, the split LED headlight looks sleeker and sharper, and the front and rear bumpers are tough due to the silver faux skid plates. The side profile of the Seltos remains the same but will get new sets of alloy wheels.

The rear profile of the Seltos gets major update as the taillight has been inspired from the Carens MPV in India, and the Seltos was spotted with sequential indicators as well. From the inside, the Seltos facelift will get the panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch dual screen display, one will be infotainment system and the other will be the instrument cluster, and redesigned AC vents.

In features, it has ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, 8-speaker Bose sound system, front and rear parking sensors, Heads-up Display (HUD), 18-inch alloy wheels, powered driver seat, single-pane sunroof, and many more. In the facelift, it’ll have panoramic sunroof, dual 10.25-inch displays, and ADAS with Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection, Forward Collision Detection, Auto High Beam Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Rear Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, and many more. 

Kia Carnival Facelift

At the Auto Expo held in January 2023, Kia had showcased the 4th Gen Carnival under ‘Kia KA4.’ At the front, the Carnival facelift has ‘Tiger nose’ grille with diamond pattern with sharper and sleeker headlamps. It has chrome finish on the lower air intake and faux skid plate as bumpers. From the side, it has upright stance that runs straight from B-pillar to D-pillar and these pillars are finished in black including A-pillar, and the C-pillar gets aluminum trim and all together it creates some effect which Kia calls it as ‘Island roof.’ Moving to the rear, it has a thin horizontal LED taillights connected by the LED light bar for one continuous look.

From the inside, it had dual 12.3-inch displays, one being the infotainment system and the other acting as instrument cluster. Inside it has features such as wireless charger, 12-way powered adjustable driver seat, 10-way powered adjustable passenger seat, 12-speaker Bose Premium sound system, ventilated seats, powered tailgate, heated seats, heated steering wheel, 19-inch alloy wheels, and ADAS with features such as High beam Assist, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Change Assist, Lane Following Assist, Lane Departure Warning System, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Intelligent Speed Assist.

Kia Carens Update (Expected in September 2023)

Kia has been spotted testing the updated Carens with launch in September 2023. The changes of the MPV will be from the outside such a tweaked rear bumper, and new front face. From the inside, it could get a new infotainment system and new instrument cluster, possibly dual 10.25-inch display set-up, and panoramic sunroof which could be taken from the upcoming Seltos facelift.

The current Kia Carens has features such as ventilated seats, reverse-parking camera with front and rear parking sensors, 64 colors ambient lighting, 8-speaker Bose Premium sound system, 10.25-inch infotainment system, wireless charging pad, digital instrument cluster, and so much more. Kia could add 360-degree, and ADAS in Carens with features like Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, High Beam Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Detection System, and Autonomous Emergency Braking.
