Citroen C5 Aircross for India to be unveiled on April 3, Launch in 2021

The French car makers, Citroen will be showcasing their first car for India in the form of Citroen C5 Aircross SUV.Scheduled to be unveiled on April 3,2019, the Compass and Hector rival will go on sale in the country in 2021.At the event, Citroen will also make announcement regarding the launch of other vehicles for India.

The design of the SUV looks striking from every angle and is very modern.There are sharp and elegant elements all over to enhance the overall design of the SUV.Citroen C5 Aircross will be manufactured at Groupe PSA’s Hosur plant in Tamil Nadu and expect high level of localisation which would help to keep the prices competitive against it’s rivals.

It will be loaded with tons of features including panoramic sunroof, LED headlamps and tail lights, electronic parking brake, front ventilated seats, electrically powered seats, 8-inch infotainment system with all the modern tech and a 12.3 inch fully digital instrument cluster, push start stop button, keyless entry, 6 airbags, drive modes among others.

Engine options are likely to be a 2.0-litre diesel motor making figures of 180 BHP and 400 NM.A turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol unit will be on offer with 178 BHP of power and 250 NM of maximum torque.Both these variants will get a standard 8-speed automatic gearbox.Electric as well as hybrid models of the SUV will surely be offer in the future stage.

After the C5 Aircross SUV, Citroen will bring the facelifted version of C3 Aircross in India in the later half of 2021.It will be a sub-compact SUV in the country.Although this French company will be entering India in 2021 while there are two other car makers who are ready for the launch of their first product in 2019 including MG and Kia Motors.
