The New Renault Duster has been spied undergoing extensive testing across Kerala, marking the final stages of development. Inspired by the Dacia Bigster concept, the latest model is expected to debut as a 5-seater in 2025, followed by a 7-seater variant in 2026, aiming to strengthen Renault’s position in the Indian market.
The spied prototype retains the rugged Duster aesthetic, showcasing bold angular lines, a squared-off rear, muscular body contours, and prominent wheel arches. Despite the camouflage, the SUV’s 17-inch alloy wheels and robust stance are clearly visible. Renault’s India-spec Duster will likely feature only a petrol engine, diverging from the multi-powertrain options seen in the European Duster lineup.
A Lidar unit was spotted on the prototype, hinting at Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) integration, a first for the Duster in India. This positions the new-gen Renault Duster as a tech-forward SUV, aligning with global versions that offer features like a 10.1-inch infotainment display and 7-inch digital instrument cluster.
