Interiors
The spy video has unveiled the interior of the upcoming Mahindra BE.05 electric SUV, revealing its unique and sporty design. The cabin features split grey finish between the passenger and driver areas creates a cockpit-like ambiance for the driver. The BE.05 is equipped with just two screens, and both are active in the video, display an EV-specific interface. Additionally, the twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated BE logo and touch-capacitive control can be seen with a backlit BE logo at its center, adding a modern touch. The floating center console includes storage underneath, a tall gear lever, push start/stop button, wireless charger, cup holder, and a rotary dial for infotainment control. is a standout feature.
Exterior Design
The exterior of the Mahindra BE.05 showcases a bold and futuristic design. The front end is wide and aggressive, featuring C-shaped LED DRLs, split LED headlamps, large air dams, and bumper-mounted fog lamps. Its squared-off wheel arches and large wheels give the SUV a muscular stance, while flush-fitting door handles and A-pillar-mounted ORVMs enhance its sleek profile. The rear is equally striking, with connected C-shaped LED taillamps and a split spoiler contributing to its sporty appearance.
Dimensions and Battery Specifications
The Mahindra BE.05 measures 4,370 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,653 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm and a ground clearance of 205 mm. It is expected to be powered by a 79 kWh LFP battery pack, offering a range of 450-500 km. The SUV will be available in both 2WD and 4WD variants. The 2WD version will feature a rear-mounted motor delivering 284 BHP and 535 Nm of torque, while the 4WD variant will have dual motors, including a front-mounted motor generating 108 BHP and 135 Nm of torque.
Expected Features and Pricing
The Mahindra BE.05 is anticipated to come loaded with features such as ADAS, a 360-degree Surround View Camera, a panoramic sunroof, and 12.3-inch displays for both infotainment and the digital instrument cluster. Other expected features include front ventilated seats, powered front seats, an electric parking brake with auto hold, dual-zone climate control, hill descent control, and 7 airbags.
