Official bookings for Mahindra XUV300 have begun.Buyers can book Mahindra XUV300 from their nearest Mahindra dealerships at a token amount of Rs. 11,000.However, it also depends on which variant or colour of XUV300 you choose.It also varies according to the state as in some states dealers are even taking Rs. 5,000 as booking amount.Test drive of Mahindra XUV 300 will begin around 20th February 2019 onwards with deliveries of the sub-compact SUV starting from March 2019.

2019 XUV300 aka mini XUV500 is based on X100 platform which has been derived from Ssangyong Tivoli which is a global model.But for the Indian market, the platform has been altered to make XUV300 suitable for the Indian consumers.The other reason for tweaking the platform is to keep it under 4-metre as well.Mahindra XUV300 will be rolled out from the Mahindra’s Nashik plant.This platform is ultra rigid and strong and Mahindra XUV300 is also expected to score good in NCAP rating as well.
In terms of specifications, it will measure the same as it’s competitors.Mahindra XUV 300 will be exact 3,995 mm in length, will be 1,790 mm wide and will carry a height of 1,644 mm.Wheelbase of this sub-4 metre SUV will be 2.5 metres.Mahindra XUV 300 ground clearance will be more than 195 mm.Boot space will be around 360 litres with good amount of space inside the cabin.

The interior of this sub-compact SUV will be dual tone premium one with hosts of technology on board.There are n number of features on the interior front which at the first sight grabs the buyers attention.Steering wheel looks premium and houses controls for audio, bluetooth, voice recognition.Three drive modes – Normal, Comfort and Sport are given so that you can drive according to your convenience.Instrument cluster will provide lots of information.Infotainment system will be a 8-inch setup with all the connectivity options.Dashboard elements along with other materials will be in high quality finish.Rear A/C vents will be provided along with practical storage for both front and rear passengers.

Design of XUV 300 draws inspiration from Cheetah like the XUV5OO.The head turning exteriors of XUV 300 is supported by the long LED DRLs which joins the fog lamps.Projector headlamps are limited to top variants.Headlamps on both the sides join the chrome studded front grille.Lower grille is quite big with chrome treatment and large air dams.Sharp edges on the bonnet and front and rear fender complements the aggressive look of the sub-compact SUV.
Roof rails are large and shark Finn antenna enhances the look further.Striking 17-inch machined alloys will again be offered in both petrol and diesel top trims.At the rear are eyebrow shaped LED tail lamps.Along with this, the rear bumper is quite big and also gets two reflectors.High mount stop lamp is on the spoiler.

2019 Mahindra XUV 300 will get two engines at the time of launch.The petrol unit is a 1.2-litre G80 motor which will be a 4-cylinder turbocharged engine which will be tuned for performance.This engine will be highly responsive as it will make around 130 BHP of power and 200 NM of maximum torque.This engine gets paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox.Mileage of this unit will be around 16 kmpl while in real life it will give around 11-12 kmpl in city traffic.No automatic gearbox will form duties in petrol XUV300 at the time of launch.Mahindra will provide automatic transmission in XUV300 next year.

Mahindra XUV300 price will start from Rs. 8 Lakhs and the top model W8(O) will cost around Rs. 12 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom), which means that it will be slightly on the premium side when compared to its closest rivals in the subcompact SUV segment.But given the features that it offers, it has the capability to set new benchmarks in the segments.The base Variant W4 of XUV 300 will have on-road price of around Rs. 8.9 lakhs for the petrol variant with the top model of XUV 300 diesel costing on-road around Rs. 13.5 Lakhs.
Mahindra XUV300 will come in a total of 6 color options.These paint schemes will be available in all the variants of XUV 300.White, red, silver, black, purple and aqua colours are likely to be offered in Mahindra XUV 300 which is slated for February launch.Dual tone exterior paint option will not be offered at the time of launch.
