From the outside, the Baleno has a much bigger grille over the old-gen with chrome grille running at the bottom of the grille. The LED headlamps has Audi’s Matrix light LED DRL’s and it has LED fog lamps as well. Moving to the side, it has chrome line at the bottom of the window frame, chrome finish for the door handles, and 15-inch alloy wheels. At the rear it has C-shape LED taillamps that is extended on the tailgate, rear wiper on the rear windscreen, and the antenna on the top.
From the front, the Dzire has LED headlamps and the grille has chrome borders around it the fog lamps has chrome coverings as well. The front of the Dzire gives a mean look because of how low the grille has been positioned, which is also covered in chrome. From the side, it has chrome lines on the windows frame and 15-inch alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, it has LED taillamps and chrome bar that connects with the taillamps.
From the inside, the Baleno has a 9-inch infotainment system placed above the AC vents and the AC vents are positioned horizontally. It has a dual-tone dashboard option as well. The Baleno has a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel with a Analog instrument cluster with a TFT display between the two analog dials, sliding armrest with storage space inside, and the brake pedals finished in black, and charging port at the front. As for the Dzire, it has a 7-inch infotainment system at the center placed below the AC vents and the AC vents are placed horizontally at the side. It has dual-tone dashboard option with pedals finished in black. The Dzire has a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel with analog instrument cluster, automatic climate control, and fabric seat upholstery. Moving to the rear, it has seats that is split in 60:40 ratio, and 6-speaker standard sound system.
So, from the outside and the inside, the Baleno looks good from the outside than the Dzire because of the front design, the Dzire has a meaner look at the front while the Baleno has a good little sporty look which makes it different from the outside. Moving to the inside, the Baleno interiors looks much better than the Dzire, and this is because the Dzire is due for an update, and could have the dashboard layout same as the Baleno, and so Baleno looks currently better than the Dzire.

The Dzire measures 3995mm in length that is longer by 5mm, width of 1735mm that is less wider by 10mm, and height of 1515mm that is taller by 15m. The Maruti Baleno is priced at Rs. 6.61 lakh for the entry-level ‘Sigma’ variant and goes up to Rs. 9.88 lakh for the top variant, ‘Alpha automatic’. The Maruti Dzire starts at Rs. 6.51 lakh for the entry-level ‘LXI’ variant and goes up to Rs. 9.39 lakh for the ‘ZXI Plus Automatic’ top variant. The price difference between the two model’s entry-level variant is Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 49,000 for the top variant.
As for the warranty, Maruti offers 2 years/40,000 warranty period for the Baleno and Dzire that can be extended up to 5 years/1,00,000 km.
In the end, the decision to buy which Maruti Model depends totally on you, however, it is recommended to buy the Baleno on the basis of new improved features than the Dzire and the better comfort it has on offer. Moreover, it’s got better safety tech, mileage and features than the Dzire and is slightly on the expensive side. However, the Dzire is slightly bigger in dimensions giving more space on offer.
