Maruti Swift vs Tata Tiago – Which car one should buy?

Maruti Swift vs Tata Tiago

It is time when we compare the two hatchbacks from the dominating carmakers of India, Maruti Suzuki’s Swift and the Tata Motor’s Tiago to see which car has an edge over each other.

Maruti Suzuki vs Tata Tiago – Exterior and Interior

Let’s talk about the exterior first.

At the front, the Swift has a big honeycomb grille for air intake for the engines and chrome strip at the center of the grille, with LED DRLs and LED projector headlamps but the fog lamps are halogens. From the side, it has alloy wheels with the door handles for the rear passengers at the window frame. Moving to the rear side, it gets LED taillamps but the indicators are halogen and a standard bumper with no changes or sportier look.

Tata Tiago had received a facelift update in 2021 with a new face. At the front, the tiago has tri-arrow like design grille with projector headlamps which are halogen and not LEDs. Then there is a chrome line which goes from one headlamp to another. The front bumper has extended fins for that sharp look and the same extended fin for the rear bumper with the taillamps also Halogen and not LEDs. The rear and the side has nothing much going except for the simple design it carries.

Both the cars get dual-tone dashboard treatment. The Swift gets part digital and analog treatment in the instrument cluster whereas Tata had replaced the analog dials with the digital instrument cluster which is similar to the one found on the Nexon as well. Both the cars get 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system as well with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
