MG to launch 5 Seater Hector in June 2019, 7 seater variant to follow

Morris Garages will start their innings in India with a SUV.And this SUV is massive in terms of dimensions.Yes, Hector will be larger than both Harrier as well as Compass.Harrier is receiving good response in the market and MG will likely to pull the sales with it’s Hector SUV.

Hector will be assembled as well as manufactured at the automaker’s Halol plant.With more than 85% localisation, MG would be pricing the Hector in a very competitive bracket.This premium SUV will be introduced at a starting price of Rs. 15 Lakhs with the top-spec trim costing Rs. 20 Lakhs.

MG will load the Hector with class leading and premium features.One such unique feature will be the portrait 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system with android auto, Apple Carplay, inbuilt navigation, wifi among others.A small 8-inch setup will be for the basic trims.

Class leading equipments includes Electronic Parking Brake, advanced and modern instrument cluster, 360-degree camera, largest panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable front seats, tilt and telescopic steering wheel column, front ventilated seats and wireless charging.

Engine options includes 1.5-litre turbocharged mill making 250 NM of torque which will be offered in both the transmission while the diesel model is the same 2.0-litre fiat sourced mill which will only be offered in 6-speed manual gearbox.

MG Hector will be a 5-seater that is coming in June 2019 while the company also revealed that they will also bring a 7-seater version in 2020 which will be slightly premium than the 5 seater version.The direct rivals of Hector includes Jeep Compass and Tata Harrier while the 7-seater variant will lock horns with Creta 2020 MPV and Tata Buzzard.
