Hyundai has been once again spied testing the Creta EV in India, but this time it reveals new details which may help it differentiate from the ICE version. Moreover, it’s possible it could sport range between 450 – 500 KMs.
2025 Hyundai Creta EV: What is New?
The anticipated Creta EV, derived from its ICE counterpart, is expected to debut later this year, with a targeted launch by the second half of 2025. Positioned as Hyundai’s third electric SUV for the Indian market, it will vie with competitors like the MG ZS EV, as well as upcoming models such as the Maruti eVX, Tata Curvv, Toyota Urban Electric, and Citroen Basalt EV. Recent spy shots offer glimpses of the interior, which, while reminiscent of the ICE version, showcase subtle changes.

The front profile is distinguished by a closed front grille, revised front and rear bumpers, new 17-inch alloy wheels designed for aerodynamic efficiency, and a likely front-mounted charging port. Other details, such as Quad-beam LED Headlamps, a connected LED Light bar, and Tail-lamps, remain consistent with the ICE variant.
Inside, seamless integration of 10.25-inch displays—one for the digital cluster and one for the infotainment system—is notable. The steering wheel, distinct from the ICE version, resembles the one found in the latest Kona electric SUV sold internationally, featuring the new Hyundai logo introduced for electric vehicles. Additionally, the drive selector has been relocated from the center console to the steering column.
In terms of features, expect Front Ventilated Seats, a 360 Surround View Camera, Level 2 ADAS, a Powered Driver Seat, Dual-Zone Climate Control, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, a Panoramic Sunroof, and more. Battery specifications are likely to mirror those of the current Kona EV in India, with single and dual-motor setups offering Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD) and All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) options.
