Hyundai’s most awaited entry level hatchback,codenamed as AH2,is all set to launch in India around festive season with the historic Santro badging.Hyundai introduced 1st generation Santro in 1998 which got huge success.In order to replicate the achievement again.Hyundai will launch Santro again but now in its all new avatar while continuing with tall boy design which somehow is the reason for high sales figures of Maruti WagonR and Renault Kwid.Here are details of Santro 2018 India.
EXTERIOR
New Santro 2018 India will be based on Hyundai’s 2.0 Fludic Design.It follows the design language of New XCent and Grand i10.Same cascading grille with chrome accents,wraparound headlamps,smart dual tone bumper and fog lamps with LED DRLs will be seen in Santro 2018.Upcoming santro will sit on stylish 13-inch steel wheels.The rear of the hatch looks equally sporty while featuring tail lamps identical to Grand i10 along with large dual tone bumpers.
INTERIOR
The cabin of legendary Santro will include black and beige seat upholstery for its new generation.The front seat headrest are integrated plus the power windows controls are near the gearbox.The top-model will feature touchscreen infotainment system with vertical A/C vents on either side.The car will be practical as it was earlier while offering plenty of storage spaces in the form of map pockets and bottle holders.Rear A/C vents will not make to New Santro.Large windows will make the hatchback roomy with enhanced space for the rear passengers.Overall,the fit and finish of cabin of Hyundai Santro 2018 would be excellent.
ENGINE OPTIONS
Santro 2018 India will initially get only a 1.0-litre petrol engine producing 68 bhp of power with 99 nm of peak torque.This unit will be mated to 5-speed manual/AMT gearbox.Diesel engine may be introduced later to compete with upcoming Maruti WagonR Diesel.Mileage of the petrol motor is expected to be between 20-25 kmpl.

PRICE
Price of new Santro is expected to increase a bit from its previous generation.It is expected to be priced between Rs. 3.5 Lakhs and Rs. 5.5 Lakhs.

LAUNCH DATE
Hyundai will launch Santro on 23rd septmber 2018,same date 20 years after when it was first launched.
