Mahindra BE.05 Spied Testing: What Does it Reveal?
Recent spy shots offer a glimpse of the production-ready BE.05, showcasing its distinctive exterior design, a departure from anything seen in the Indian automotive market. The BE.05 features striking LED DRLs (DRLs) dominating the front fascia, a hallmark of automotive lighting design. These DRLs, covering a significant portion of the vertical space, exude sophistication and modernity. The rear of the vehicle is equally captivating, with tail light LED signatures evoking energy and dynamism.

From its angular side profile to its futuristic roof spoiler, every detail of the BE.05’s design exudes confidence and boldness. Despite the myriad design elements, the vehicle’s aesthetics remain cohesive and purposeful, showcasing Mahindra’s commitment to creating a visually stunning compact SUV.
Inside the cabin, functionality meets elegance in the BE.05, boasting a spacious interior with a modern design aesthetic. While initial concepts showcased a twin-screen layout, recent sightings suggest a more streamlined approach with a single instrument screen, reflecting Mahindra’s continuous refinement of the vehicle’s interior technology.
Moving to the battery specs, it ranges from 60 to 80 kWh, with offer for both single-motor and dual-motor configurations providing RWD, and AWD as option since this electric SUV will also be capable of doing off-road activities. Its expected to offer 400 – 600 KM range on single charge with 150 kW DC Fast Charging Capabilities.
As for features, expect Panoramic sunroof, Ventilated Front Seats, 360 Surround View Camera, Level 2 ADAS, Powered Front Seats, Drive and Terrain Modes, among other features. Even in safety, Mahindra is likely to offer 6 Airbags as standard with the top-spec trim getting 7 Airbags; then it’ll get Hill Descent Control, TPMS, Hill Start Assist, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, among other safety enhancements.
Upon launch, it won’t have a direct competitor, but still will compete with the likes of Maruti eVX, Hyundai Creta EV, Toyota Urban Electric SUV, and Tata Curvv EV.
