A new 650cc adventure has been teased by the Royal Enfield with launch scheduled to take place on November 5th!
The upcoming Royal Enfield Bear 650 has ignited excitement in the motorcycle world, as enthusiasts finally get to see the wilder, off-road-ready side of the popular Interceptor 650. Originally expected to be named the “Scram 650,” Royal Enfield put speculations to rest by confirming its official name as the Bear 650. This new scrambler aims to bring a fresh, adventure-oriented twist to the 650cc platform, making it ideal for riders seeking both urban comfort and off-road thrills.
3 New Generation Models Launching Soon in India!
Inspired Design and Off-Road Features
While the Bear 650 retains the familiar design of the Interceptor 650, it introduces several distinct features for an off-road experience. Most notably, it includes an upside-down (USD) telescopic fork in the front finished in a striking gold color, making it the first Royal Enfield 650 model to sport USD forks. The rear, however, stays true to the twin-shock setup seen on the Interceptor 650, while the upcoming Himalayan 650 will be the first 650cc Royal Enfield to adopt a mono-shock suspension. Adding to its rugged look, the Bear 650 features spoked wheels fitted with dual-purpose tires that enhance its off-road capabilities.
In terms of color, the Royal Enfield Bear 650 will offer both single-tone and dual-tone paint options, as indicated by teaser images. The scrambler also breaks away from the dual exhausts found in other 650 models, opting instead for a lightweight, performance-oriented 2-in-1 exhaust setup. This change not only reduces the motorcycle’s weight but also offers a deeper exhaust note, akin to the sound of an American V-twin engine.

Enhanced Technology for Adventurers
Adding a modern touch, the Royal Enfield Bear 650 will come equipped with a 5-inch Tripper Dash, which provides navigation powered by Google Maps, as well as music control options. This feature aligns with Royal Enfield’s vision of positioning the Bear 650 as an ideal escape vehicle for riders looking to explore both urban and off-road landscapes. The teaser for the Bear 650 showcases changing scenery from city streets to open deserts, indicating its versatility for various terrains and travel scenarios. Motorcycle racer and stuntman Eddie Mulder has also lent his voice to the teaser, adding to the excitement surrounding the model’s adventurous image.
