Ola Electric, India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer has teased that it’ll be revealing a new electric scooter in July with more details coming before the official debut.
While very little is known about the upcoming new electric scooter from Ola Electric, this will be their fourth electric two-wheeler that will be added to their resume which consists of – S1 Air, S1, and S1 Pro electric scooters. The details about this new e-scooter will be reveal closer to it’s debut date. The upcoming electric scooter could be different from the existing model it sells currently, and not much is known at this time.
The Founder and CEO of Ola Electric, Bhavish Aggarwal took to social media, to confirm that the upcoming e-scooter will be a brand new model. This is what he had to say, “Announcing our next product event in July. Calling it the endICEAge show, Part 1! Part 1 of the show would end ICE age in scooters! With S1 Pro, S1 Air and … XXXX…..And maybe one more thing!” While it remains to be seen what this new model will be and what it’s capabilities would be, Ola Electric in the meantime will start with the deliveries of Ola S1 Air in July 2023.
Ola S1 Air is the affordable version of the S1 and it is available with a 3 kWh battery pack that is priced at Rs. 1.10 lakh. It has a top speed of 85 kmph and claimed range of 125 km on a single charge. Ola has also discontinued the 2 kWh and 4 kWh battery pack versions of S1 Air, leaving only 3 kWh version available. The S1 Air is available with five color options – Coral Glam, Neo Mint, Porcelain White, Jet Black, and Liquid Silver.
The current line-up of Ola electric scooter includes S1 Pro, S1, and S1 Air. With reduction in subsidies under FAME II scheme, the Ola S1 Air is priced at Rs. 1.10 lakh, S1 is priced at Rs. 1.30 lakh, and Rs. 1.40 lakh for the S1 Pro, and all these prices are ex-showrooms.
