Tata Altroz, Hornbill, Harrier 7 Seater and Altroz EV Showcased at Geneva Motor Show 2019

Tata Motors have showcased a total of four car at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show.

At the Geneva Motor Show 2019, Tata Motors have unveiled four of their amazing cars including the Altroz hatchback, H2X concept SUV, Bazzard SUV and an electric version of Altroz as well.

First of all, we will talk about the H2X production concept which is likely to be called ‘Hornbill’.It is a micro SUV that takes design clues form H5X concept and will be placed below Nexon in India.Hornbill will directly rival the likes of Mahindra KUV100 and Maruti Suzuki Ignis which has been recently updated.

It will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 and the launch of SUV will be followed.Price of Tata’s upcoming SUV is expected to start from Rs. 4.2 Lakhs.Exterior of Hornbill (codenamed X445) will be muscular and it stands tall from the ground.

Interior of the Ignis Facelift will be premium deriving modern elements from recently launched Tata Harrier.On the safety kit, it comes with ABS with EBD, Dual Airbags, High Speed Alert System, Front Seatbelt reminder and Reverse parking sensors.

This feature loaded SUV list includes keyless entry, steering controls, automatic ac, 7-inch infotainment system, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, rear camera, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs.

Tata is likely to provide just a 1.2-litre revotron engine at the time of launch.It will be paired to a manual as well as automatic gearbox.A electric variant of X445 with around 170 km range is expected in the coming years.

The second Tata car is premium hatchback which will take on the likes of hot selling products in India, the Maruti Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20.A standard as well as EV variant has been revealed today at the Geneva Auto Show.

Tata Altroz will rival Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20.

Tata Altroz is a premium car which will comes with n number of top notch features.It will the second car by Tata to be feature Impact Design 2.0 styling language.Altroz hatchback will also be priced very competitively and the expected launch of Altroz in India is August 2019.

It will get Tata’s floating island type touchscreen music system and a semi-digital instrument cluster.On the exterior, it get sleek and very striking elements.The tail lamps of Altroz will be quiet similar to that seen on Harrier.Feature list includes cruise controls, 6 airbags, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, cooled glovebox, 16-inch alloys, front and rear armrest, leather wrapped steering and seats, adjustable front and rear seat headrests.

Altroz powertrains includes 1.2-litre petrol mill and powerful 1.5 L diesel unit derived from Nexon making 260 NM of torque.Both these units will get a manual as well as automatic gearbox option.

Along with the regular Altroz car, an electric model of the vehicle was also unveiled.Expected to launch in 2021, Altroz electric comes in two range variants – 175 km and 250 km.Difference will be seen between Tata Altroz and electric variant at exterior where the grille of both these cars will be distinctive.The EV variant also gets a different MID, gear selector as well as interior theme.

Last comes the Tata Harrier 7 seater which is expected to be called by the name ‘Buzzard’.With the Harrier tasting success in the market, Tata will be bringing their 7-seater version of Harrier in late this year in India.If we compare the pricing of Harrier and Buzzard, then the latter will be costlier by Rs. 1.5 Lakhs.

Tata Buzzard have also been teased by Tata Motors in a couple of videos and will get a rotary gear selector as well as electronic parking brake.One of the most popular feature on Harrier, sunroof, is also expected in Buzzard.

Showcased at GIMS 2019, Buzzard will be powered by a new 1.6-litre petrol 4 cylinder petrol unit which will be paired to a 6-speed manual and AT gearbox.The 2.0-litre fiat sourced motor will also be on offer but will miss out on automatic variant.

In 2020, Buzzard will be joined by MG Hector 7 seater as well as new generation Creta 7 seater.This segment is expected to grow in few years as more carmakers will try to bring out the best combination in this segment.
