With Mahindra XUV3XO offering first-in segment panoramic sunroof, looks like its now Tata’s turn to offer dual-pane sunroof with the Nexon SUV to boost the sales ever since it recorded a huge drop.
One main feature that is a main attraction for consumers in India is the sunroof. Mahindra had launched the XUV3XO with first-in segment panoramic sunroof, and it’s paying-off very well for them as they recorded 50,000+ bookings in just 1 Hour. Now, it was only a matter of time before someone followed this, but no one would have expected this quickly for other to follow.

The panoramic sunroof appears to be around the same size with few MM’s difference. Rear Passengers will now sit comfortably thanks to big dual-pane sunroof giving slightly more headroom while also bringing more airy feeling. The Panoramic Sunroof with voice-activated function is likely to be offered with the top-spec variants – Creative and Fearless trims.
Tata Nexon comes powered by the 1.2 L Turbo Petrol engine producing 118 BHP and 170 NM Torque mated to 5 Speed MT, 6 Speed MT & AMT, and 7 Speed DCT; and the other is the 1.5 L Diesel delivering 114 BHP and 260 NM Torque mated to 6 Speed MT / AMT Gearbox.
The SUV has features like ventilated front seats, 360 Surround View Camera, Dual 10.25-inch Displays, Wireless Charging Pad, Rear AC, Front & Rear Parking Sensors, and so much more.
It’s possible Tata will further update the SUV with new features like Level 2 ADAS, Electric Parking Brake, etc. We expect the panoramic sunroof variant to be priced between Rs. 15 – 17 Lakhs, and with festive season in few months, expect to launch around that time.
