BMW 760Li High Security Edition
Prime Minister Modi’s first official car was the BMW 7 Series. This heavily armoured vehicle can withstand high-calibre assault rifle attacks, including from AK-47s, and grenade attacks, thanks to its underbody armour. It also offers optional roof protection against fragmentation charges. Alongside its ballistic protection, it provides unparalleled comfort and class-leading driving dynamics. Specially designed tyres allow the car to be driven up to 80 km/h even if flat or damaged. The 760Li is powered by a 6 Litre V12 engine producing around 544 BHP and 750 NM, enabling 0-100 KMPH in 6.2 seconds with a top speed of 210 KMPH.
Range Rover Sentinel
Narendra Modi, an SUV enthusiast, chose the Range Rover Sentinel as his official vehicle. Debuting on the 71st Independence Day, this custom-made SUV offers V8 ballistic protection and shields passengers from grenades, landmines, and IED attacks. It can drive on flat tyres at 80 KMPH for up to 50 KM. Powered by a 5.0 Litre supercharged V8 engine producing around 375 BHP, it accelerates from 0-100 KMPH in 10.4 seconds and has a top speed of 193 KMPH. The estimated cost is around Rs 10 crore.
Toyota Land Cruiser
In addition to the BMW and Range Rover, Prime Minister Modi has the Toyota Land Cruiser, one of the world’s most capable SUVs. This armoured vehicle was first seen during his Independence Day speech in 2019. Previously, Modi used a Land Cruiser in Ahmedabad for private visits. The top variant from Toyota, it is powered by a 4.5 Litre V8 engine producing around 260 BHP and 650 NM of torque.
Mercedes Maybach S650 Guard
The Mercedes Maybach S650 Guard debuted in 2021 when Prime Minister Modi received Russian President Vladimir Putin. This armoured sedan has the highest ballistic standard certification, VR10, and can withstand armour-piercing bullets, TNT attacks up to 15 kg, and prevent fuel tank fires. It includes satellite phones, jammers, and emergency oxygen canisters. The Maybach S650 Guard is powered by a 6 Litre twin-turbo V12 engine with around 630 BHP and costs approximately Rs 12.5 crore.
