
Maruti Suzuki will be officially launching the Premium MPV Engage on July 5th, and will sit on top of it’s line-up!
Maruti Suzuki has sent out invites that quotes, ‘Engage with a new league of luxury,’ with a launch date of July 5th. This MPV is jointly developed with Toyota and will just be rebadged to the popular Innova HyCross.
Maruti Suzuki Engage – Exterior & Interior Changes!
Well, we can expect the front face to be somewhat similar to the XL6 or Grand Vitara except it might have a little bigger grille than usual with chrome finish on top of it. Moving to the side, it will have the same profile as the HyCross no difference and it’ll ride on the 18-inch alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, it have the taillamps from the Grand Vitara or XL6 and tweaked it a little bit to make it look different. Other than that, no exterior changes will be seen. From the inside, the interiors of the Maruti Premium MPV will look same since it’s just going to be software change and possibly they could change the layout of it to the one in Grand Vitara. Rest everything will remain the same, no change. However, Maruti could offer various color themes for the interiors.

Maruti Suzuki Engage when it launches in July 2023, it will have the same dimensions as the HyCross as Maruti’s Premium MPV is rebadged by the Toyota as Engage. Maruti Suzuki Engage measures 4755mm in length, 1845mm in width, and 1785mm in height. The Engage will have the same wheelbase same as the HyCross of 2850mm. It will also have the same ground clearance of 185mm. As for the boot space, the Engage will have 300 litres of boot space parallel to the HyCross MPV.

Just like the Innova HyCross, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Engage will have the same engine options as well such as the 2.0-litre TNGA in-line petrol engine that pumps out 172.99 bhp and 209 Nm of torque mated to a CVT with Sequential Shift gearbox. The Engage will also get the strong-hybrid engine on the day of launch as well. The 2.0-litre TNGA 5th Generation in-line petrol-hybrid engine puts out the 183.72 bhp and 188 Nm of torque. It drives the fronts wheels via an eCVT Gearbox.
Maruti Suzuki Engage – Features
Maruti Suzuki Engage will have many features on offer that will be same as the Innova HyCross. It’ll boast features such as 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 9-speaker JBL sound system, ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, multi-zone climate control, 65+ connected car tech, Powered Ottoman Seats with Long Slide in the middle row, 8-way powered adjustable driver seat with memory function, powered tailgate, and heads-up display. Maruti Suzuki’s other MPV, XL6 does offer features such as 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, and connected car tech.
Maruti Suzuki Engage will be the first Premium MPV from Maruti to have the ADAS tech as it’s safety feature and it will be the same as the Innova HyCross. It’ll have ADAS features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Auto High Beam Assist, Blind-Spot Monitoring, Rear-Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Keep Assist, and Pre-Collision System. Other safety features include ABS with EBD, six airbags, Tyre-Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), traction control, ESC, ISOFIX anchorages, and many more.
Maruti Suzuki Engage – Price, and Launch
Maruti Suzuki will be launching the Engage on July 5th, as the reason behind that the launch date is the deal between the Toyota and Maruti Suzuki. Models launched by Toyota will be rebadged for Maruti Suzuki and will be available for sales six months after it’s launch. Meaning, Toyota launched the Innova HyCross in January 2023, and if you calculate six months after that, July is the month that comes and that’s when Maruti launches their rebadged Premium MPV. Upon it’s launch, it’ll rival the Mahindra Scorpio-N, Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and the Kia Carens. As for the pricing, Maruti might price it slightly lower than the Innova HyCross and could end up starting at Rs. 18 lakh.
