Tata Curvv vs Tata Nexon – Exterior and Interior


The Tata Curvv from the outside has vertically-split headlamps at the front with a sharp styling with striking, minimalistic, yet future design which Tata calls it as “New Digital Design Language.” It has a sloping coupe-like roofline similar to the BMW X6, or Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe, which integrates into the tailgate of the Curvv. From the side, it has body cladding, square-shape wheel arches, and rides on 18-inch alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, the connected LED taillamps theme continues and skid plates at the front and rear for bumpers.


Tata Nexon front has black element that connect withs the LED headlamps with LED DRLs inside the headlamps that kind of look similar to the rear taillamps and the bottom is the tri-arrow grille with fog lamps at the sides. From the side, it has creases to give it mean look. It has a non-functional roof-rail and rides on the 16-inch alloy wheels. The front and rear bumper are finished in silver faux skid plate. At the rear, it has LED taillamps with two lines within them and has a rear wiper at the rear windscreen with shark fin antenna on top.


From the inside, the Curvv gets a three-layer dashboard with a 10.25-inch rectangle infotainment system, full digital instrument cluster which could be same as the one seen in Tata Harrier and Safari, two-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and it has touch-sensitive controls for the climate control. It has a steptronic Automatic Gearbox lever with some inserts around the seats. The seatbelts were finished in red just the exterior.
As for the Nexon, it has a 7-inch infotainment system placed above the AC vents, and the AC Vents are positioned horizontally. The Nexon does not have the dual-tone dashboard option. It has a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel with digital instrument cluster, and single-pane sunroof. It has a rotary dial before the gear lever for drive modes, and the buttons for the ventilated seats are placed at the bottom side of the seat. The Nexon has a leather seat upholstery and an 8-speaker Harman sound system. The seats at the rear are split in 60:40 ratio.

In Engine Options, Tata Curvv will be powered by the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine producing 123.29 bhp and 225 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed Manual and 6-speed Automatic Gearbox. The Nexon on the other hand, is powered by the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that puts out 118.35 bhp and 170 Nm of torque mated to 6-speed Manual and 6-speed Automatic Transmission with fuel efficiency of 17.05 kmpl.

While we don’t know if Tata Curvv will have a turbo diesel engine, but the Nexon does have a 1.5-litre turbo diesel produces 113.42 bhp and 260 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed Manual Transmission and 6-speed Automatic Transmission with a fuel efficiency of 24.05 kmpl and a top speed of 128 kmph.
Tata Curvv vs Tata Nexon – Features
When it comes to Features, Tata Curvv will have features such as ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, six airbags, electric parking brake with auto hold function, 10.25-inch infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, leather seat upholstery, LED Projector headlamps, Wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay, Electrically adjustable front seats, ambient lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels, wireless charging, air purifier, and flush door handles.
As for the Nexon, it has ventilated seats, 7-inch infotainment seats, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, leather seat upholstery, Single-Pane Sunroof, 16-inch alloy wheels, wireless charging, air purifier, 8-speaker Harman sound system, two airbags, Digital instrument cluster, and halogen projector headlamps.

The Tata Nexon is priced at Rs. 7.80 lakh for the base ‘XE’ variant and goes up to Rs. 14.50 lakh for the top variant, ‘XZA Plus LUXS Red Dark’ Diesel Automatic and as for the Tata Curvv, it is expected to be priced at Rs. 10.50 lakh.
In the end, the decision to buy which model depends totally on you, however, it is recommended to wait for the launch of the Tata Curvv as it’s going to launch in 2024 with better features than the Nexon. If you don’t want to wait till 2024 for Curvv, then you can go ahead and buy the Tata Nexon as it’s loaded with features as well, and has 5-star Global NCAP safety rating as well.
