In December 2023, the Nexon continues to hold its position at No.1 for Tata Motors as the best-selling car with sales of 15,284 units over the 14,916 units in November 2023 with month-on-month growth by 2.46% and volume growth by 368 units. The increase in sales is because of the facelift launch of the Nexon in mid-September, and the amount of changes they made is truly insane. It’s got so much new features that the current Hyundai Creta is nothing in front of it like 360 Surround View Camera, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with navigation map display, front and rear parking sensors, and so much more.
At 2nd position is the Punch SUV with decline in sales to 13,787 units which is down by 4.14% compared to 14,383 units in November 2023. Tata Motors last week unveiled the Punch.ev and it looks a lot similar to Nexon.ev. It’ll launch on January 17th with features like 360 Surround View Camera, 10.25-inch Infotainment and Digital Cockpit Cluster, Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold, Sunroof, Ventilated Seats, and so much more.
Moving on, Tiago is at 3rd position with decline in sales to 4,852 units from the 5,508 units in November with de-growth by 11.90%, and decline in volume by 656 units. At 4th position is Altroz with 4,081 units with decline in sales by 17.63% compared to 4,955 units; Safari at 5th position achieved 2,103 unit sales which is a de-growth by 4.71% against the 2,207 units in November.
The Tigor and Harrier finished at 6th and 7th position with 1,960 and 1,404 unit sales respectively.
Tata currently has their hands full with Punch.ev launch on 17th January, then the Petrol Engine Option launch for the Harrier and Safari in the coming months, followed by their electric versions expected to launch by the end of this year, and the Altroz Racer is expected to launch in the first half of 2024.
