Before this year ends, many carmakers are working hard to launch the facelift update to their cars and introduce new features to sell well in that particular segment. Here are the 7 cars that are getting facelifts in the coming months –

Tata Nexon Facelift

Tata Motors had been consistently testing the Nexon facelift and might speeding up the testing process to soon launch the facelift in India as there are rumor stating Tata Motors will start the production of the Nexon in July 2023 and launch it in August 2023. The interiors of the Nexon few weeks ago had leaked and it showed that the dashboard layout is heavily inspired from the upcoming Tata Curvv SUV slated to launch in 2024.

The leak images showed it having the two-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and a new 10.25-inch Infotainment system which is much more responsive than the one 7-inch infotainment system it has currently. It’ll also sport a new digital instrument cluster and possibly the Nexon could also get ADAS tech to stay miles ahead of the competition. The Nexon will also see exterior changes such as a new front design with slightly aggressive bumpers.

Tata Harrier Facelift

Tata Motors along with the Nexon, it’s consistently testing and working on the new Harrier facelift which is also expected to launch in October 2023. The Harrier will sport a new front grille design and a new LED light bar to have the connected taillamps look. As per the leaks, the front of the Harrier facelift will look exactly the same as the Harrier EV that was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023.

The Harrier facelift is expected to get a new turbo petrol engine which will produce 170 bhp and 280 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed Manual Transmission and 6-speed Automatic Transmission. It could also get RDE-compliant 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine which produces 168 bhp and 350 Nm of torque paired to 6-speed Manual Transmission and 6-speed Automatic Transmission. The interior will be getting changes as well as it will be getting the new 10.25-inch infotainment system with new gear shifter and rotary dial for the drive mode. Rest of the interior look will remain the same.

The Harrier will also get new features such as ambient lighting, 360-degree camera, updated UI for infotainment system, electric parking brake with auto hold, and ADAS tech.

Tata Safari Facelift

Tata Motors just like the Harrier and Nexon facelift, Tata has been consistently testing the Safari but unlike the Harrier and Nexon facelift, it was only spotted once, but still from what was seen, the Safari will take design cues from the Harrier EV like a new front grille inspired from the Harrier EV and will have few additonal features over the upcoming Harrier facelift. The Safari facelift is also expected to launch alongside the Harrier facelift in October 2023.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift

Mahindra is spotted numerous times now testing the XUV300 facelift with new tailgate which is flatter and possibly connected LED light bar with the taillights. From what was seen in the spy shots, the XUV300 will remain unchanged except for the cosmetic changes, and it could get a new alloy wheel sets as well. The interiors of the XUV300 in the spy shots cannot be seen, but Mahindra could add new features in the SUV such as bigger infotainment system, ventilated seats, digital instrument cluster, and many more. The design could change due to Mahindra cutting ties with Ssangyong, Korean carmaker as the current XUV300 design is styled in line with the Ssangyong Tivoli. The new design could take cues from the XUV700, or Scorpio-N.

Kia Seltos Facelift

Kia has updated the front tiger grille of the new Seltos with LED DRLs running on it, the split LED headlight looks sleeker and sharper, and the front and rear bumpers are tough due to the silver faux skid plates. The side profile of the Seltos remains the same but will get new sets of alloy wheels. The rear profile of the Seltos gets major update as the taillight has been inspired from the Carens MPV in India. Recently, the Seltos was spotted with sequential indicators as well.

From the inside, the Seltos facelift will get the panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch dual screen display, one will be infotainment system and the other will be the instrument cluster, and redesigned AC vents. The Seltos facelift will get a panoramic sunroof, ADAS with features such as Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection, Forward Collision Detection, Auto High Beam Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Rear Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, and many more.

It’ll also sport a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine to comply with the RDE and E20 norms. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine produces 157 bhp and 253 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed Manual Transmission and 7-speed DCT Transmission.

Kia Sonet Facelift

Kia was spotted testing the Sonet facelift in Korea as the test mule was exported from India to the headquarters of Kia. There will be few design tweaks over the current one which are barely visible because it is heavily covered. The facelift will get crisper headlamp design and piano-black finished grille which is newly designed; the headlamps appears to be connected with the fog lamps vertically which might be used as LED DRLs or turn indicators, and a new bumper with large fog-lamps.

At the rear, the Sonet has L-shaped tail lamps similar to the one seen on the upcoming Seltos or on the Kia Carens where as the current one has straight tail lamps with cube-shaped light inside the tail lamps which works as brake lights and for parking lights. The Sonet is already a feature-loaded compact SUV, and to add more, it could introduce 360-degree camera, 8-speaker Bose sound system, more color options in Ambient lighting, and introduce first-in segment features.

Hyundai i20 Facelift

Hyundai had globally debuted the facelift of the i20 few weeks ago and made few tweaks in styling and other stuff. Now, Hyundai Motors has begin testing the facelift as it’s set to few minor exterior changes at the front and at the rear. The changes that can be observed are the new 5-spoke alloy wheels design that are a bit more angular. At the front, it is possible for Hyundai to have a bigger grille than the current one with a sportier front design, and sporty bumpers.

At the rear, it features a new taillight design where Hyundai might also add LED light bar for the connected LED taillights look. From the inside, it has a dashcam which is something that Hyundai currently offers in Venue N Line, and the upcoming Exter, other than that, minor changes will take place inside. As for the powertrains, we don’t expect Hyundai to add any new engines and hence continue offering the same engine options.
