After showcasing it at Bharat Mobility Expo, Toyota has now launched the All Black Model at Rs. 37.90 Lakh!

Toyota has introduced the Hilux Black Edition in India, priced at Rs. 37.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This special edition brings an all-black treatment to the popular pickup truck without any additional cost over the top-spec High diesel-AT variant. Bookings have commenced, and deliveries will begin in March 2025. The Hilux Black Edition was first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and later displayed at the Auto Expo 2025.

Toyota Hilux Black Edition: What’s New?

The Hilux Black Edition features several blackout elements that replace the chrome finishes seen on the standard model. Key changes include:

  • Blacked-out radiator grille, bumper, fender garnish, ORVM covers, fuel lid garnish, and door handles
  • Blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels and wheel hubs
  • Black wheel arch cladding and front skid plate (previously available as accessories)
  • Retained black interior theme with leather upholstery

This new all-black shade is an addition to the existing five color options of the Hilux: Emotional Red, White Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic, Super White, and Grey Metallic.

Toyota Hilux Black Edition: Features & Safety

The Hilux Black Edition retains the features from the High trim, including an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, an auto-dimming IRVM, an 8-way powered driver’s seat, auto headlamps, and a push-button start. For safety, it comes equipped with 7 airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear parking camera to enhance driver and passenger protection.

Toyota Hilux Black Edition: Engine & Platform

The Hilux Black Edition is powered by a 2.8 L Diesel engine producing 201 bhp and 500 Nm torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Power is sent to all four wheels, and it features an Electronic Differential Lock and Automatic Limited Slip Differential for enhanced off-road capabilities.

Built on Toyota’s Innovative Multi-purpose Vehicle (IMV) platform, the Hilux shares its ladder-frame chassis with the Innova Crysta and Fortuner, ensuring durability and strength.

Toyota Hilux Black Edition: Pricing & Rivals

The Hilux range starts at Rs. 30.40 lakh and goes up to Rs. 37.90 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Black Edition. The all-black theme trend has gained popularity across segments, with models like the Mahindra Scorpio N, Tata Harrier & Safari, and MG Comet also receiving Black Editions.

With its rugged appeal and premium features, the Hilux Black Edition aims to attract more buyers in India’s growing lifestyle pickup segment.
