Additionally, the motorcycle now features cruise control, making it the first in its segment to offer this functionality.
2025 KTM 390 Duke: Engine and Performance
KTM India has retained the same 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, delivering 44.25 bhp and 39 Nm of peak torque. This engine was upgraded from 373cc to 399cc with the introduction of the new-generation Duke. The bike continues to feature a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter for smooth gear shifts.
New Features and Technology
The biggest highlight of the 2025 KTM 390 Duke is the addition of cruise control, which allows riders to maintain a constant speed without throttle input, reducing fatigue on long highway rides. This feature is controlled via new switchgear on the left handlebar and is integrated with the motorcycle’s ABS and engine management system.
The 5-inch TFT display remains unchanged, offering Bluetooth connectivity for music control, call management, and turn-by-turn navigation. Other key features include:
- Fully adjustable suspension with compression and rebound damping at the front
- Pre-load adjustability and rebound damping at the rear
- Launch Control and Quickshifter+
- Cornering ABS and Supermoto ABS
- Track Mode with racing telemetry data
- Riding modes – Street and Rain with Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC)
- Self-cancelling indicators and a speed limiter function
Underpinnings and Braking System
The 2025 KTM 390 Duke is built on a reworked steel trellis frame with a new pressure die-cast aluminum sub-frame and a redesigned curved swingarm. The suspension setup consists of USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear, both offering extensive adjustability.
For braking, KTM has borrowed components from the RC 390, equipping the 390 Duke with a 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc. The lighter alloy wheels now have a reduced number of spokes, inspired by the RC 390, to enhance weight efficiency and performance.
Rivals of the 2025 KTM 390 Duke
The KTM 390 Duke competes with the Triumph Speed 400, Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, BMW G 310 R, Yamaha MT-03, and TVS Apache RTR 310 in the Indian market.
With the addition of cruise control and a striking new Ebony Black color option, the 2025 KTM 390 Duke continues to be one of the most advanced and feature-packed motorcycles in its segment while maintaining its aggressive pricing.
