A New Rs. 6 Lakh MPV has been spied with new LED DRLs and front fascia; Launch is expected by Festive Season!
The Renault Triber facelift has been spotted testing yet again, revealing significant exterior design changes and hinting at a more premium feature set. Expected to launch around the festive season, the updated Triber will continue to be India’s only sub 4M monocoque 7-seater MPV and aims to boost its appeal with a refreshed look and added convenience features.
Renault Triber Facelift: Exterior Design
Spy shots of the upcoming Triber facelift show that Renault has taken an SUV-inspired approach to its design. The front fascia now sports a larger air dam with a bull-bar-like surround that merges into a new faux skid plate. The upper grille appears slimmer and could even be partially closed off, featuring a new 3D Renault logo at the centre.
The updated model gets integrated LED DRLs within the headlamp housing. While the headlight structure remains similar to the current model, it’s expected to get reworked internal elements, possibly with a new LED projector setup. The front bumper has also been redesigned with new fog lamp placements, which are positioned lower and may use halogen bulbs. Body cladding along the sides adds a tougher, more lifestyle-oriented appeal.
Interestingly, the new LED headlight layout draws a visual similarity to Nissan’s upcoming MPV based on the Triber platform, although the two are expected to differ significantly in execution.
Interior Changes and Features
While the overall dashboard layout is likely to remain similar, Renault is expected to update the cabin with lighter materials, soft-touch elements, and a more premium look. The feature list could be expanded to include automatic climate control, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, and six airbags—features not offered in the current model.
Although alloy wheels are expected, recent test mules have been spotted with wheel covers, hinting that steel wheels might still be offered on lower variants. At the rear, the changes will likely be minimal, limited to redesigned LED tail-lamp elements and a revised bumper.
Engine Options
Mechanically, the facelifted Renault Triber will remain unchanged. It will continue with the same 1.0-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 72hp and 96Nm of torque. Transmission options will include the familiar 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT. The long-awaited turbo petrol engine is still not expected to make it to the lineup.
Launch Timeline
Renault is targeting a festive season launch for the Triber facelift, following the brand’s strategy to refresh its existing lineup, including the Kiger. With a more SUV-like appearance, updated features, and improved interior finish, the 2025 Renault Triber facelift is expected to strengthen its position as a value-for-money 7-seater offering in the sub-4m segment.
